Can anyone who has had afternoon tea at the Garden View Lounge tell me their thoughts on appropriate attire? Just maybe what you wore and what other patrons were wearing. I have a surprise ADR for my mom and I there and I don't know if I should tell her to pack something nice, like what she would wear to church, or anything like that. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

There will be people dressed in many different attires.
I wore capris and a tee or tank when i went and my sister had come straight from teh park and was in shorts.
There were people dressed relaly park casual and then there were people in slightly nicer attire.
But no one stuck their nose up at anyone for not being fancy enough.
It's Disney :)

Next time I go here I may dress up a tad (a sundress or something)
but if I used the church benchmark that wouldn't work very well for me cuz my planned outfit for church tomorrow is a tee and jeans/flip flops ;)

Whatever you normally would wear. Swimsuits is probably not on the list. ;) But after that....
I have seen some dressed in flowery summer dresses and hats. But that is not often. Norma;;y guests wear just general daily clothing.

I took my teenage daughter there last summer and we both wore sundresses. p.s. we loved it :) Have fun!
