Hi,
I was wondering what people have worn for the semi-formal and formal dining nights. I am not usually a tuxedo kind of guy and want to know what real people have actually worn.
Thanks,
Marc

You don't have to wear a tux. A simple suit would be fine for formal night, and nice slacks and a button up shirt would work for semi-formal night.

Hi, my dh is definitely not a tuxedo guy... :earboy2:

He wore nice dressy pants with a dressy shirt. I myself am not an evening gown lady, and dress very nicely ( i think) and we fit in fine. Just cleanly dressed is ok, if that is what you like. I do really enjoy seeing the tuxedos and gorgeously dressed families though...

We rent tux for DH. It is delivered to the ship with 2 shirts so he can wear it both nights, including shoes and dress socks only costs $85. We do not have to pack his dress shoes and a suit that way. Really worth it to us, and IMHO he looks great.

DH wears his suit both nights. That is dressy enough for us & saves the extra money for something else on the cruise.

What are percentage of men in tuxes? I actually own a tux, but was wondering if many people actually end up wearing them.

So far on 2 7 day cruises I think that we have seen 3 guys in a tux on formal night & one of those was with his bride. :)

I wear a dress shirt, tie, slacks and sandals with black socks for both the formal and semi formal nights. Have seen everything from tuxes to 3 piece suits, "regular" suits, sport coat, shirt and tie, shirt no tie, polo shirt, tee shirt. I don't think that I've seen a swimsuit in the dinning room on formal or semi formal night yet - but it's bound to happen.
