My hubby is supportive..but I think he has it in his mind that we are going to go back to double income when my dd is in school.

My husband thought that too. Our boys are now 14,13,and11. I do work very part-time as an RN and work only when he is home(he also works shift work) Any time he goes on about what we could do with a double income I say "Fine then you worry about child care, because I know I can't do that." I know my kids are older but to leave them for a lot of hours alone every day only asks for trouble.

My husband also enjoys visiting our friends in Michigan(we are from Canada) at a moments notice. He wouldn't be able to do that if I was working full time And I remind him of that.

WHat do I do? ANYTHING I WANT! ha ha. I can't believe nobody said that yet.

I've got one more year before my youngest is in school all day. I will either substatute teach or do something retail. Substituing is great because whether or not you work is totally up to you. Do feel like working that day, don't. Need the extra cash? Take a class. Summers off and the hours are usually right. Retailers are always looking for people to work days, because most kids cant work during school hours. You can usually keep your job and take a leave over the summer because they can cover you will college kids home for the summer.
