Hey guys, just wanted to see what everyone else is listening to on their runs. I looking for some new tunes. Here's a sample of some of my favorites:
American Idiot ~Green Day
Animals ~ Nickleback
Bad Religion ~ Godsmack
Bad Romance ~ Ga Ga
Beautiful Day ~ U2
Bullet With Butterfly Wings ~ Smashing Pumpkins
Dragula ~ Rob Zombie
Enter Sandman ~ Metallica
He's a Pirate ~ POTC theme by Klaus Badelt
Hotel California ~ Eagles
I stand Alone ~ Godsmack
I will Survive ~ Gloria Gaynor
I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) ~ The Proclaimers
Let's Go Crazy ~ Prince
Living Dead Girl ~ Rob Zombie
Lose Yourself ~ Eminem
Margaritaville ~ Jimmy Buffet
Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner ~ Iron Maiden

I have many more, just wanted to get the thread started to see what everyone else is listening to!

For the WDW 1/2, I had 3 CD's from Off Kilter loaded onto my iPhone.

I also had the Wishes CD, and the 4 CD Official Parks CD's.

A couple of songs from Yehaa Bob too...

At home on the treadmill, I've started to listen to podcasts that I subscribe to.

LOVE it. Never thought of getting the official parks CDs. I'm more of a "metal" kinda chick. :scared1: I do love me some Disney Parks music though!

At home I always listen to Disney stuff or Michael Buble, but when I run I need some metal! Metallica, Saliva, Linkin Park and Disturbed are my staples. I'm always looking for more metal with 150-170 BPM.

If it's high BPM metal you're after, you try Lamb of God, A7X, Opeth, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Gojira, and Killswitch Engage. Bullet for My Valentine and Rammstein are fun to listen to as well.

I've got a mix of pretty much everything. Park music, Disney movie music, all the popular stuff now, country, classics, classic rock, etc... I pretty much like anything inspirational or with a good beat to it.

For those of you who like Disney Parks music, there's an app called Sorcerer Radio that plays a lot of the show and background music for the parks. We listen to it at work sometimes to just have some background music playing while we're on the computers.

I usually have current Pop on my phone. Got to have something with a good beat while running. Favorite running songs right now are Flo-Rida- Good Feeling and Calvin Harris- Feel So Close. I keep about 30 - 40 songs on my running list, shuffled as I run.

I have fast songs from my favorite artists so I can sing along when I run, therefore making it a little more of an enjoyable experience.

My favorite artists include:
Barenaked Ladies
Carbon Leaf
Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers
The Alternate Routes
Guster
Marc Broussard
Mike Evin
Travis

For the marathon relay this year I listened to Girltalk. He is a DJ who does mash-ups of popular songs. They are basically one song that lasts a little over an hour and have a continuous beat.

I have a mis-matched playlist I listen to on every run. It's about 200 songs so I don't hear the same ones over and over. I mostly listen to rock/metal and occassionally rap so my playlist consists of some of the following:

Skillet
Kanye West
Jay-Z
My Chemical Romance
Muse
Underoath
Stretch Armstrong
FloRida
Songs from The Sing Off Season 3 (love that show)
Blindside
really old Linkin Park
Still Remains
With Blood Comes Cleansing
Maylene and the Sons of Disaster
The Showdown
Showbread
Dr. Dre
2Pac
Notorious B.I.G.
As I Lay Dying

Love this thread - so many good ideas (which means a big iTunes bill for me this weekend)

My song list is all over the place; here's the first few I have on shuffle right now:

Cake - The Distance
Domino - Jessie J
Don't Stop 'Til You get Enough - MJ
Can You Feel It - MJ
Kiss - Prince
River Deep, Mountain High - Tina Turner
Sir Duke - Stevie Wonder
Stronger - Kanye West
Volcano Girls - Veruca Salt
Hoedown from Rodeo - (it's the beef commercial song:thumbsup2)

I run au natural (no music !!), over 2000 miles last year. I enjoy listening to the birds and other sounds of nature. It just helps me get my mind clear.

Sorry, no help on the playlist.

I love GirlTalk! They are really good and I almost got to see him in college, but I was gone the weekend he was there. It is great running music though!

I like Pop/Dance music!

Right now I have tons of music by Pitbull. Love it!

Pink, Raise Your Glass
Flo'rida , Good Feeling
Tao Cruz, Dynamite
Maroon 5, Moves Like Jager
Evacuate the Dance Floor

I am the odd one you will sing mouthing the words to the songs as I am running. It keeps me going and passes the time!

For anyone wanting to listen to good Disney music while running, here are some good ones I listen to!

Miracles Happen (Princess Diaries)
Dig a Little Deeper (Princess & the Frog)
Almost There (Princess & the Frog)
Go the Distance (Hercules)
Zero to Hero (Hercules)
A Star is Born (Hercules)
You Can Fly (Peter Pan)
Zip a Dee Doo Dah (Song of the South)
Step in Time (Mary Poppins)
Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious (Mary Poppins)
Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas)
I'll Make a Man Out of You (Mulan)
True to Your Heart (Mulan)
Ever After (Enchanted)
On My Way (Brother Bear)
Welcome (Brother Bear)
Son of Man (Tarzan)
Trashin the Camp (Tarzan)
Prince Ali (Aladdin)

Thank you all for the great ideas! I usually like the popular pop stuff with some hard rock mixed in, but it all gets old after a while. I have to change things up every once in a while. Right now when I run in the mornings there's a radio station I like to listen to--has good pop music with some discussion between. I have an audiobook downloaded and will probably start it soon too.
Some songs I have:
Good feeling
Firework
Footloose(the original)
A few by Nickelback
Party rock anthem

On my list to get next is Stronger by Kelly clarkson, and some of these Disney tunes!

I have some of the others that have already been mentioned, in addition to:
All About Tonight-Blake Shelton
Cupid Shuffle-Cupid (one of the first times I heard this was during the Princess Half in 2010, so it always brings back good memories)
Dynamite-Rockstarr
Hollaback Girl-Gwen Stefani
Party in the USA-Miley Cyrus (another one I first heard at the Princess)
Toxic-Britney Spears

For short runs, I listen to podcasts. For longer runs, audiobooks.

I can't do music when I run as I automatically adapt to the beat of the music.

That's why I need music with 150-160 BPM. Running to the beat keeps my pace even. I use Jeff Galloway's app that adjusts the beat to your recommended running/walking pace. Love it!

I find the no music thing also helps on races where headphones aren't allowed or you're DQed and there is no official result. :)
