Cypress Gardens is having an AP reciprocation promotion through Dec 24. You can use your AP to any park and it will be treated as an AP to Cypress Gardens!

http://cypressgardens.com/press.asp

"Buescher also announced a pass exchange program, in which passholders from other parks can experience Cypress Gardens at no charge. Between now and December 24th, 2006, guests can present any other theme park’s valid 2006 pass and receive free admission to Cypress Gardens. And just like the season pass; guests can take advantage of the opportunity as many times as they want. They will also receive a $10 discount off any of the 2007 Passport options."

Not sure which board to post this on, so mods please feel free to move it if I posted on wrong board.

They recently filed for bankruptcy. They have so many deals, I hope they come out OK. I also heard they are bringing back a wooden rollercoaster to the park.

Shucks, there's just too much to do in Disney during December. We would consider CG in January!

This almost sounds like you are giving up your AP to go????? The wording is kind of confusing.

I'm going to look further into it, and maybe go.

I read this and am thinking about going - not sure if I want to sacrifice the time though.....anyone care to sell it to me? :thumbsup2

Is this the old Boardwalk and Baseball? I loved that place.

No, different place. I think Boardwalk and Baseball was in Haines City. This is in Winter Haven.

I actually posted this on the Orlando Board about a week ago. Cypress Gardens is located about 45 mins from the World, and it is worth the time, its a beautiful park, easy to take slow, never crowded, and has a pretty nice collection of rides. They are also in the process of re-assembling the Starliner from Miracle Strip. Sadly Miracle Strip (located in Panama City) closed in 2004.

For those interested the old Florida Hurricane from Boardwalk and Baseball is still running as the Arkansas Twister at Magic Springs in Hot Springs, AR.

We have to support the small parks else we lose our past. Walt Disney World is not going anywhere, Cypress Gardens, its 70 years of history and the Starliner all depend on each and every guests support. This is history folks. This is OUR American Culture, don't let it fade away.

BTW it is ANY Season or Annual Pass, so that means if you have a pass to ANY amusement park or theme park in the country this will allow you admission to the park. Parking is $9.
