Attention all How I Met Your Mother Fans- it DOES taste like pennies!!!

Inspired by that legendary episode when Ted and Barney licked the Liberty Bell, DH and I decided to follow in their footsteps. Alas, we live in Florida and can't afford a trip to lick the real Liberty Bell, so we made due with the next best thing. The Liberty Bell at the Magic Kingdom!! While it is not the actual Liberty Bell, it also tastes a little like freedom....but mostly pennies.

Ok, ok....DH is making me come clean. We didn't really lick Disney's Liberty Bell. The pictures are forced perspective. We were really standing a few feet away from it. One of us stood there with his/her tongue out and the other positioned the camera to make it look like the first was licking the bell.

It's a neat effect though, right?!

Whew! I too was thinking "gross". But still funny. I love that show but haven't seen that episode. I missed maybe half of the first season. I'll have to check and see if it's on DVD yet. I'd love to get DH hooked on this show as well.

I'm not a germaphobe (just come to my house and I'll prove it to ya), but EEEEEWWWWWW!!!!

Anyways, the Liberty Bell (original) is made of copper, which pennies are also made of. So, yes, it would taste like pennies.

btw: tasting a penny would be like licking the Liberty Bell.
If you've ever handeled a lot of money, you'd be grossed out by that though too.
