I'm looking at the last two weeks April to the first two weeks May '08 for my next trip. Seven previous trips have been taken in Nov and Dec so it's time for a spring time disney vacation.

Any tips as what to expect at this time of year and the attendance levels.

thanks in advance for any and all feedback............

Hey, i think i can help you with that!! For 12 years in a row, we have always gone to Disney during the last week of April and first week of may together! What to expect there? Well i can tell you one thing when we went this year (2007) the lines were SUPER SHORT! We never had to use fastpass's once! :cool1: Something else you mind be interested in is at Epcot the flower & garden festival. The weather can sometimes be mild and dry, but in the mornings it's usually cool. There is nice breeze's every now and then but no humidity! :cool1: Have fun!!

Subscribing.
We always go during Sept or Oct and are thinking about the first of May next year. One friend said when they went in May it was crazy with lots of people and long lines. Is it really that bad? We are pretty spoiled with our fall trips.

Exactly what I was going to stay. We've been twice at this time and it's perfect. Light crowds (apart from Mothers day weekend) and nice weather.
Perfect for those with pale skin like me and my girls!

Spring Break in Massachusetts is the week of 4/21 & the following week is New Hampshire's. I know quite a few families around us are planning a trip for those weeks.

My husband and I are looking at the 2nd week of May for our trip. Can anyone tell me if it is good swimming weather at that time? We love to use the hotel pool and have always stayed in August during the hottest time. I know the pools are heated, but I'm too much a chicken when getting out! :scared:

It is def hot enough for the pool! we went in may and were in stormalongbay the whole time!!! one day was cooler but still ok for the pool!

We wnt last few days of April/first few in May . Weather was alittle on the warm side for us Northeners but the kids loved the pool It was perfect !! Crowds seemed okay Some attractions had long lines but we rode or saw most of what we wanted!!

Thanks Eviie for your informative feedback.

Beehn, I heard the middle and end of May can be very crowded as some school systems and colleges are finished for the year and they are attempting to get ahead of the June rush.

FYI.......A co-worker just got back from his vac. during the weekend following labor day and into the next week. He says it was very crowded and longer than usual lines he had seen at this time of year.

We were there from May 5-12 this year and thought it was perfect! The weather was warm but nothing like as bad as the summer! The crowds were very manageable, and there wasn't a lot of rain. Keep in mind that even slower times these days are like moderately busy ones in years past. Disney has come up with a variety of ways to increase attendance in their "slack" times, such as festivals, free dining, and all the holiday celebrations. They are brilliant at marketing! And there are always thousands of other people there at the same time! I think I would always go in May if I didn't have to work around my grandchildren's school holidays. (We took my DGS8 out last spring, but wouldn't do that too often.) The time before that we went at the end of May and early June, and it was much hotter, wetter, and busier, but still better than July and August!
