Atten: BIG FANS OF READING. LOOKING FOR A BOOK....

An acquaintance of mine is looking for a book. They don't know the title.

It has something to do with a boy who has a falcon, he lives in the woods and the book also contains recipies of food he would make, ostensibly to survive.

This is really fague I know but I thought I'd take a shot.

I figure if anyone would know, someone here on the DIS would.

Do you mean My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George ?

There's a kid's book called My Side of the Mountain and sequels called on the Far Side of the Mountain and Frightful's Mountain by Jean Craighead George but I don't remember if they have recipes. They are about a boy and his falcon named Frightful and how they survive in a tree for a year.
