Does that drive anyone else nuts?

It takes me 20 seconds to get money out of an ATM, and be done. Some people spend 5 minutes trying to figure 1 thing out.

I can't STAND that.

I don't get it either. And it drives me nuts when the machine takes so long to give you your card or print out a receipt.

My ATM pet peeve is people who "hover" while I am using it. Back off!

Well, maybe they don't know much about it! There is slow people everywhere, just part of life I guess.

because not all people "get" technology.

I'm an idiot when I have to go INSIDE a bank...it's like foreign territory to me...I'd rather do my 20 second transaction at the ATM.

we all have our strengths.

one day we'll all be older and slower...(not implying older people are slow!) I'm just saying...

It's percisely this notion that makes me roll my eyes when people suggest that computerized voting machines are the way to go!

Why are you in such a hurry?

I can't stand it when people are impatient and rushed just to save 30 seconds.

I especially can't stand it when the impatient people behind me hover. Like someone said, BACK OFF!!

At my last job, my bank had a branch right in teh building, and like you, I could take Fast Cash in under 20 seconds. Now I'm having to learn a new ATM at the bank I go to here, and it's the same bank but a whole different machine. If they were all universal in layout, I think a lot of people would have no problem. Same with gas pumps!

Depends - Sometimes on the way to work, or on my lunch break.

Or, as what just happened, I went to the ATM across the street from work. It's cold out, and some guys pulls up in his car, and was there for 5 minutes.

30 seconds is one thing - 5 minutes is something else. Not everyone does everything at the same speed obviously, but there are some who shouldn't be using those things.

I tend to take a little longer, but then again, I'm legally blind.

You're excused then.

:) Thanks.

If it makes you feel better, I never do multiple transactions and I am usually in a hurry anyway.

I think ATM's should be the same as the drive thru - Limit of 2 transactions per person.

In my town, odds are the next time you read about me, it'd be in the obituaries.

Where do you people bank? I rarely have to wait in line for an ATM, walk up or drive up!

I'm not laughing at you, but I read your post and thought to myself, "Dang! How on earth does she drive up to an ATM if she's legally blind???"

I'm slow sometimes. :rotfl2:

We have some drive-thru ATMs in my area and it drives me nuts when people wait until they're at the ATM to sign checks, fill out envelopes, etc..
