I would love to check it out for a future vacation, and kids on cruise would love to swim there.....how can I think of any clever ways to "crash" it for a day. I could act like I belong there. I could "check it out" for a future business convention. I could "check it out" for a future wedding . I could just drape a towel over my (unwristbanded) arm as we walk in. I could try "greasin the palm" of a janitor to get in. I could come in bleeding lookin for the pool first aid guy. I could just walk in with some Atlantis guests and say "We're with them". I could come in lookin for a lost kid. Who would stop a faimily of 4 rushin into the pool with the kids cryin loudly? C'mon there's gotta be some other creative alternative people out there.....we need IDEAS ..think "outside the box" people. none of this "You Can't" stuff.....once again I gotta come thru on this one.

Or you could do what everyone else does and pay (rent a room) to get in.

Thank you, Anne.

Very tastfully said.

I believe you got your point across. ;)

The lowest cost room that can be booked is $485.00 This is a good idea....definitely worth considering as a last resort: but is it worth paying the $485 for 5 hours of amusemnet before returning to the disney ship?

Value is subjective in nature. If it's worth paying that much to you, then go ahead and have a great time. Otherwise, I guess you'll be skipping it.

You could also get a room at the Comfort Suites, which is across the street, with full privlidges at the Atlantis, usually $200 with tax. I've stayed at the Atlantis on a previous vacation, and none of the scenarios you've suggested will work. The employees are VERY villigant on checking and checking people with wristbands. They aren't just checking at the entry points, there are employees who are constantly walking around checking. I saw MANY crashers being asked to leave, even they some how got through the entrance. Also, they aren't just asked to leave, they are escorted off property. Not an example I'd want to set for my kids.

One other thing. It's a legal term called trespass. The "crashing" you are suggesting is trespass. You will not be in the US, and will not be afforded any of the rights and protections of the US legal system.

Day rooms, at the Atlantis, have reportedly gone up to $200.00 plus taxes and fees.... I recently saw a promotional rate for the Comfort Suites, for $166.00 plus tax... But, didn't jump on it quick enough, and it disappeared!!! I am hoping to see this rate again before our cruise, as it looks to be the least expensive option?

Boy, there sure have been a lot of little threads going on Atlantis lately... There is a lot of good info on the boards here. So, I recommend that anyone interested go and search a few pages back. :D

We rented a room at Comfort Suites in October- $159/day + tax. It came out to about $60 each for the three of us to enjoy Atlantis for the day. Our local Parmount park day tickets go for about $40/day and it doesn't have the beauty of Atlantis. It was a once in a lifetime splurge for us so I didn't mind spending the extra $.

We were checked at every turn for our wristbands. You are also checked before you are allowed on the slides etc. I wouldn't risk it.

Hi LilysDad...

Where did you come up with the figure of 485.00? When are you travelling...

I booked an Imperial club room in the Royal Towers for for 485.00 (August) but the standard room in the Beach Wing was 275.00.

You can get rates online at

http://www.atlantis.com

And as others suggest... they have limited availability for "day rooms" at around 200.00USD

Also there is the comfort inn suites which gives you access to the Atlantis facilities.

You could also take the excursion to Atlantis from the ship... but alas.. no swimming at the pools/rides.

One other note.. I intend to stay longer than 5 hours... the ship docks about 9:30am and does not sail till 11:00pm that night.

Good luck and let us know if that "Ive LOST my kid" routine really works... I bet the Altantis staff have heard everything.

As a repeat guest at Atlantis (and paying $600/day to stay there) I appreciate the vigilance of the employees in assuring that those people using the facilities are paying guests. If everyone was allowed to walk/sneak in off the street and use the facilities it would become overcrowded and unenjoyable.

Trying to sneak in to places you are not supposed to be is not a lesson I would want to teach my children.

I believe Anne said it best.

Hi Kincal... since you are an expert.. I have a question...

I booked the Imperial Club/Royal Tower/watervew for my day at Atlantis with my daughter..

We are going to arrive in the morning have breakfast in the concierge lounge then do the pools, marine exhibits....check out the dig etc... we have no intention of going to the beach - but will probably be in the kids area/lazy river area a lot of the time.

Question is.... we are only there for one day - and I don't want my room to be miles away - what is the best location for proximity to everything...? I love what I have booked - but if it is too far away - I can change to the coral towers or beach building...

Let me know what you think... also what restaurant has a nice fast lunch?

Thanx

I was LOL when I read your post. I think and hope you were
trying to be humerous. J.

>>^..^<< - It really depends on what you and your daughter intend on doing. Do you want to use the lazy river? That's located near the Beach and Coral Towers. If you want to use the HUGE slides, those are closer to the Royal Towers. All concierge rooms are located in the Royal Towers. Just note, I don't think the Wonder docks at Nassau until around 9:30, and if memory serves me correctly, they stop serving the continental breakfast in concierge at 10:00. I'd plan on eating on the ship. The Atlantis is a VERY spread out resort. I'd look at the interactive map at www.atlantis.com to decide which pool area/areas you'll frequent and then make your decision on which tower to stay in.

Hi jel0511

The Atlantis info on the Imperial club says breakfast till 11:00am - but I will double check... no problem though - I am nosy and wanted to check out the lounge and get some nice photos for my website... the food is not important - we will probably eat on the ship too! I used to be a travel agent so I've been around - so to speak!

Also - the itinerary I have for the Wonder says it sails at 11:00pm - but I would be onboard earlier to try and catch the show....

As for room location... I think Noel would like the kids area/lazy river and thats where we would spend most of our time - I see the beach/coral area appears closer - but I wonder just how long a walk it is back to the royal towers? I know they have dedicated express elevators to concierge...

I was hoping to leave her in the kids area for a bit and go check out the casino.... I assume kids are not allowed?

Thanx for any extra info...

>>^..^<<

It's possible that they might have changed the time for breakfast to end, and I'm working from memory, so I could be wrong. Also, I'd estimate the walk to be around 10 minutes from the Royal Towers to the lazy river. The Wonder does set sail at 11:00p.m. I was talking about docking in the morning. I guess I should be using my a.m. p.m. more!!!! They do have dedicated express elevators for concierge and they are a blessing!!! The waits and "cattle car" appearance of the regular elevators was awful!!! Kids aren't allowed inside the casino, so if you want to check it out, you'll have to do it alone. They're allowed to "walk" through with a parent, but stopping to "smell the roses" probably wuold be frowned upon.

tHANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE! Who wants to get booted for crashing the resort pool ....how embarrassing...its worth the $200! These rooms book up quick so I suggest you get one now:Pinkbounc

jporter.......congrats: you were the only one hip enough to catch the drift......some people couldn't recognize satire even if it were Al Gore.

Okay, since we have some Atlantis 'experts' here... I have a couple questions...

I am thinking that I will want to spend more time at the Mayan Slides/Ripples-kids side of Atlantis. We will have DS(5) with us. So, I have a couple questions.

1. How would the other kids area compare to the Ripples kids area... I see online that Ripples has mini kid slides, where the other doesn't mention any. The online photo of Ripples looks great.

2. Can anyone tell me about the Cove Beach area? Online, they make it sound like paradise... "palm lined sand..." Is it less crowded than the main beach? Is there any activity at all going on there, or is it like a quiet-beach? How is the surf there? Any local vendors?

Thanks!

I called to book my room at the Comfort for the 5 of us but since there will be 5 of us, the lady said I have to call the hotel directly.

2 questions:

Would you book a room thru Comfort or Atlantis

And, I have the phone number for Comfort but not the country code to dial. Could anyone help?
