Hi,

Instead of booking the Atlantis excurision has anyone ever just booked at room at Atlantis and grabbed a cab over?

Then you can spend the day and have access to the pools etc... on the excursion you are not allowed in the pools.

Check in/Check out on the same day and head back to the ship.

Thoughts on this??

Yep. You can do that. Or you can book a room at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island. Same privileges for (usually) less money. More walking though.

I just went online and priced the Comfort Suites, and the lowest rate I could get for a 2-person room for one night is $175. Will it get lower than that? That seems high, but maybe it's still less than a day room at Atlantis....

If I call the Comfort Suites, do they have day rooms available for a lower price?

I wonder how far a walk the Comfort is from the Atlantis facilities...? 175.00 is better than 275.00 - but if its a long long walk - maybe I will splurge.

Thanx for your help

It is not really advertised, but according to these boards, Atlantis does also offer a day room, I have heard a price of $150.00.

Day rooms are not reserved, but are rented out, first come, first serve, so you would not be guaranteed a room, as you would with a prior reservation.

I personally would consider doing it this way, since any circumstances, like bad weather, etc... and I would probably decide not to get the room... I think that reservations and DCL excursions are NONrefundable?
