I would also recommend Jellyrolls. It's a deuling pianos bar and it's a blast. The pianists take requests from the audience and can play just about anything. There are some "regulars" that always get played (Brown Eyed Girl, The Time Warp, Margaritaville, etc.) but I've seen them play everything from Britney Spears to Alan Jackson to Jethro Tull (yup...Jethro Tull...and it was DH's request!). Jellyrolls is our favorite parents-night-out spot.
Both are possibilities. I guess we'll have to see what we're in the mood for. It will be us (DH and I) and another couple. Maybe the piano bar would be better after walking all day.
Atlantic Dance Hall was bumpin' when we were then last week. While we never actually went in, you could hear the music down the Boardwalk (we stayed at BWV). They were playing some great dance music.
I've walked into Atlantic Dance because the music was so good. But no one is ever in there. I mean a huge room that is usually empty. I'd go to jellyrolls.
Jellyrolls is great. The music never stops for a break since they have at least 2 teams of piano players. When it is time for one team's break, the other team sits down. The only thing I didn't like was smoking is permitted here. The ventillation system, however, is very good, so we could handle it.
My kids dragged me to Atlantic Dance Hall Saturday night after PFTS. It was the most crowded I've ever seen it. The DJ takes requests. We danced and had a lot of fun.
