Hi,

I was wandering if the Atlantic Dance Hall was "bright" during your wedding. If the the reception ends around 8pm, does the sun shine through the whole time? I find that it would feel funny to be at a dance hall/club that wasn't dark and have that "vibe." Is there curtains you can close to give that feel?? I have been looking at pics of peoples receptions , and while they are Extremely beautiful, I was just wandering how the atmosphere really is.

This brings me to my next question . . .

About the only thing I am certain on (2007 bride :teeth: ) is that I want an open bar. If the wedding is in the afternoon, do you think people will drink as much as they would at a night wedding? I know this question sounds a bit glib, but I just want to make th most of my day and for everyone to have a blast!

thx

Our reception started at 3:30 in June, so yes, there was light streaming through the windows the entire time. There are black out curtains you can close if you want - I think they are on both the upper and lower level, but they are on the lower level for sure.

We did a package bar with Disney, so I dont know how much our guests actually drank, but generally guests at afternoon weddings drink less than guests at evening weddings.

we had our reception there very early in the day. our reception started at 12 and ended at 3. it was a great time though. we had a wonderful time.

Our prereception started at 4 and the reception started at 5. It had to end by 8 so they could clean up and open to the public by 9. (although we were allowed to stay and watch the epcot fireworks from the upstairs balcony). I was worried about the brightness...my centerpieces were tealites and I wondered if they would be a waste. Honestly, now I don't have a clear recollection if it was bright...but I also don't remember thinking it was too bright. The dance floor always seemed dark enough. I thought it was perfect...we still do:)

To tinkerbela - what type of food did you serve at your reception - did you have brunch or lunch? I would love to do a brunch there but was wondering what the cost of a brunch would be and what type of food they would serve?

Linda
