Atlantic beach (jacksonville)

Planning a graduation trip next year for our family; 2 kids grad. After spending 7 days at WDW I want to go to a beach for 3-4 days as my DD loves the ocean. We are driving down from PA. I picked Atlantic Beach, near Jacksonville since we have to head north anyhow and it looks nice.
Anyone ever been? Please any info. would be appreciate. Where did you stay? attractions? opinions? suggestions? THANKS, Jeff

We live in St Augustine and go up to Atlantic Beach to eat and go Starbucks. The beach is great and there are some great places to eat. You could always stop in St Augustine and check out the town and beach here then follow A1A (coastal highway) up to Atlantic Beach. Not sure about where to stay.

Thanks for the reply. We are looking at staying in St. Augustine Beach also so maybe that will be better for us.
