Wow, I probably couldn't make it on a Monday.... even though RRR made me feel like a CELEBRITY... (ME? not! Dan? YEA!)

I can only make it if some could volunteer to drive me... my sister is using my car at nights until her car is out of the shop and that could be for another week or two.

I looked up Dan's hotel on expedia and it appears that North Point Mall would be a great place to hook up. There's one of every restaurant there, including a Fuddrucker's. Cheesecake Factory, Famous Dave's BBQ, Smokey Bones, TGI Friday's, Joe's Crab Shack. Dan, for you, take a left out of your hotel, go down to North Point Parkway and follow that down to the mall. Everyone weigh in with their opinions of where to go. Looks like my husband, Rich, will be joining us as well.

Robinrs - where are you coming from? I'll be coming from Norcross and Rich will be coming from near Roswell. Let's see what we can do to get you there.

I live in Alpharetta and have been waiting for a dis meet here for ages! This perfect right before my trip and everything!

awwww...I got the pm about this meet but I wont be able to go.. It's a school night and with hubby being deployed I dont have anyone to watch the kids... I live 2hrs away.

I think I know the perfect place to meet. I can't think of the name of the place now but I'll get it later today. It's a sports bar type place at the corner of Haynes Bridge and North Point Parkway. Very casual but has a big open seating area for our now quite large group! Great food and good prices. Full bar available. Sound good to everyone? I can call them Monday and warn them they will be having a large party coming in around 6:00-6:30. I'll post back here with the name of the place. Just cannot recall it right now.

OK - the name of the place is Sidelines. It's at the corner of Haynes Bridge and North Point Parkway. In the same area at JoAnn Fabics and Best Buy. Across North Point from Bahama Breeze. If this sounds good to everyone, let me know and I'll call them on Monday and get something set up. I think I can be there around 6:00 or so. How many people do we have now, Dan? I've lost count.

Very good for kids. The place I mentioned is the non-smoking section. Being from Gwinnett County, I tend to forget that important thing (no smoking up here at all). It's away from the bar area. Plenty of room for the youngsters to walk around. With this section, you'd never know you were in a sports bar except for the TVs high above your head. You only have to get that aspect going to the bathrooms.

Well, Dan, how about TWO meets? And Robin--I've seen you around here so many years but never have met you in person. Wouldn't that be a treat!

I can probably make dinner on Sunday night--or maybe even just dessert if Dan is getting in late, but I think we have to leave and get back to Mississippi no later than midday Monday. I can't explain why--just suffice it to say that it's a Mississippi thing...

Monday night should work for me! I’ll be there as close to 6:00 as I can, but for the locals I have to come down 400 from Ashford-Dunwoody. Needless to say, I might be late.

I’ll see if Colin can join me too, but I know he has class that night and I’m not sure he could still be on time if he comes.

As far as Sidelines goes, if I get off of 400 at Mansell and head toward the mall, I should then turn onto Northpoint Parkway. If I pass the mall, which side of the road will it be on?

Sounds great, Paige. How about late afternoon dinner, somewhere in the airport area, does not have to be right there, just in the vicinity. mommie2angels and family are planning on that too.

If you do it that way, you'll go all the way by the mall and then get up to Haynes Bridge. Take a left turn there. Then the first right into the shopping center throughway. Make another right turn and Sidelines will be the building on the left.

Or you can *gulp* continue up 400 and get off at Haynes Bridge and go to the right. Then it would be the first left after that and then you are into Sidelines building on the left. It's the roll of the dice with the traffic. Gotta love Atlanta and GA400, right?
