We just tried ATA's Business Class last night (we had free upgrade coupons), and I was disappointed! We were in a 757-300, which has business class in the first three rows. Normally on that type of aircraft, we sit in a two-seater exit row or in the bulkhead exit near it. This time, we would have been in the bulkhead, so my husband was happy that in Business Class, we could store our bags under the seat...NOT! The space is actually smaller than the regular seats! I have a small bag that would not come even close to fitting...our larger bag fits under the regular seats. The seats were wider than the normal and reclined more, but I didn't like the seat pitch, which bothered my back. I didn't use the footrest myself (bad position), but the kids behind us spent most of the flight playing with theirs until I began to think we had massage chairs from the constant vibration. In our normal exit row, there is an exit behind us too, so no kids. The tray tables are in your arm rest, which means that if you bring a portable DVD player, it is too close to easily watch. All in all, I will take our usual exit row over Business Class any day! They did offer free audio headphones and and drinks, but that wouldn't be enough to sway me unless it was on a 737, which doesn't have good exit rows.
