At what time should I call for PS?

Tomorrow is the 60 Day mark for one of the days I would like to make a PS.

I don't know quite how it is at DLR, but at WDW you had better call at 7:00am at the 90 day mark to get a ressie at the more popular restaurants or you're outta luck.

Is it the same way at DLR? Should I be ready to call at 7am if I want to get a good reservation at a popular place like GK?

Also, I imagine I would have to consider the time difference...since I live on the East Coast, would I not be able to call until 10am?

Thanks all! :goodvibes

how many days are you staying? If you wait and do all your days at once its better. I found this out trying to make all my reservatons on the 60 day mark. I decided to make them 7 days later to get them all in.

I would consider doing that, but would that hurt my chances of getting the reservation time I wanted?

I'll be there September 9-13, and the only 2 restaurants we plan on doing are Goofy's Kitchen and Napa Rose(we are still considering Minnie&Friends for a 3rd if we can swing the cost). I was going to do an early breakfast at GK(7:30ish) on the 11th, then a 6:00ish dinner at Napa for the 12th. If we did Minnie&Friends it would be another early breakfast.

Your idea sounds good, however we don't have many reservations to make, and I'm just concerned about getting the times I want. Since we're there for a pretty short while I want to make the most of my time!

We were in Disneyland last September 17-21. I had made a few PS's prior to leaving for our trip. But I didn't find them as neccesary as ADRs at DW. I had the PS number in my cell phone, and would call and make PS for later that day while we were in the park and could always get in. Blue Bayou might be the only exception, we had PS and still ended up waiting about 45 minutes to be seated. It was really busy. Most of the other places that we had PS for we could have walked in. They weren't that busy. Waiting a few days shouldn't be an issue.

they will only let you make 1 reservation each day when you are 60 days out. WDW lets you make them all, disneyland won't. wait until all your days at the park are with in the 60 days and you will be fine. also I made mine 30 days out ( re did them all ) and it was fine. we go in the busy time of August.

Okay, I'll trust you guys. You're much more educated on this than me. Thank you!

I don't think you will have any trouble either. We're local so we usually don't make PS until a day or two before we go and we've never had a problem getting what we want. Like PP said, Blue Bayou might be the exception but even then, I don't think it's any where near as bad as I've heard WDW is.

If you *want* to call each day, and it's not going to cost you a bunch of money for the calls, I see no reason to discourage you from doing so. If it will make you feel better to have it all nailed down each day, go for it! Yes they open at 7am pacific time, so yes, you'll be all awake at 10 while the west coasters are trying to get their coffee intake goin'. :)

Also, so you know, you don't get a proper confirmation number. As far as I remember it's last name and phone number, and I'm not 100% sure of the phone number!

PSs are not typically hard to get (except for the elusive 11:30am Blue Bayou PS), but if it makes you happier, do it.
