Hey guys,

So I'm at Disney now and I just killed my hard drive that I brought with me for photo storage. Is there anywhere on property where I can buy a new one to tide me over till I get home? I'm from the UK so I don't think I can order from Amazon.co.uk to have one delivered tomorrow.

Any ideas oh wise Holders of all Disney knowledge?

TIA

I'm not sure about if you can get an external drive, but I think they sell in-camera memory cards at some locations. For instance...there's a Camera Center at Epcot near Spaceship Earth...also check with Mouse Gear there and Emporium at MK; in Disney Springs there's a D-tech store in the Marketplace Co-op (its in the Marketplace section, where Team Mickey used to be, if you remember that). I would say check that Camera Center at Epcot...hopefully they might be able to at least help

Probably nowhere on property. And cards will be pricey for what you get. Might be worth a trip offsite to Wal-mart to get what you need.

Thanks for your posts. I'm headed to Epcot today so I'll see if they have any extra memory cards. I brought 3 spare with my but their nearly full already.

Is the drive corrupted or just full?

Neither. I dropped it and now when I plug in the power source it just makes a beeping noise. I'm gonna leave it alone then take it to get repaired when I get home. Fingers crossed it's salvageable as there's about 4TB of stuff on there.

As you stated...you cannot order from Amazon.uk...but you can order from Amazon US. In the past, I have ordered items on Amazon.uk using my same username and password from my US account. I have also ordered items from Amazon during WDW vacations and had them delivered to my resort. You might want to see if you can use your existing UK account to order from Amazon USA...can't hurt to try. Good luck!

As an Amazon Prime member I have quite a bit of free cloud storage and have many pictures stored there. You might be able to just upload your pictures to the cloud until you get your drive fixed.

Now that may well be a plan. I hadn't thought of that. I'll see how it goes when I get back from the parks. Not too sure how the Disney wifi will hold up to moving 40+mb files but worth a try! Thanks!

You are very welcome. I hope it works for you.

Ouch.... there are good repair shops that can rebuild circuit boards and drive components to recover that 4tb of data. Good Luck.

Get a 64gb card. It will a lot of pictures.

Thanks Manning. I had my spare memory cards with me so 2x64gb, 2x32gb and 1x8gb. 8gb was the only one I didn't end up using. Good thing I don't clear out my camera bag very often!
