Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Airport West? We have a layover in Toronto on the way back from WDW. We get in around 11pm and have a 7:15 flight the next morning. I can book this hotel for $100 plus taxes - anyone have any thoughts on it?

TIA

I stayed there when it was a Ramada and something else. It is on Dixie Road about 10 minutes from the airport (across the 401) The lobby is nice, rooms are clean and comfy and pool is okay. I hate going thru the lobby to go to the pool but most places are like that. I would stay there again.

We stayed at the Doubletree and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, there were also hockey teams all over the place, it wasn't a good night.

On the other hand, we stayed at the Airport Marriott (twice)... once just for fun and loved staying there, they also had a great buffet breakfast to add on.

We did that exact thing once, probably about 3 years ago. Exact same flight times.

It is a very very very nice hotel, but definitely for the length of stay (like 6 hours lol) it wasn't worth it. The bed was super comfy, lots of pillows, and definitely more comfortable then sleeping in the actual airport.

If I had the choice to do it again, I would just sleep hang out in the Pearson airport (though nothing is open late, and that is kinda creepy in its own right).

Even though it is at the airport, you still have to catch a shuttle, check in, settle in, and be up super early in the morning to check out, catch the shuttle back, check in with your airline, etc. It just, to me, wasn't worth the extra money. Although, if you have stuff to do the next day, the opportunity to shower, freshen up, and get some sleep might be worth it.

Oh and beware the mini-bar. If your move something in it, it has an electronic sensor and charges you automatically if it is detected.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the review Iamaprincess. If it was just me, I would probably stay at the airport but we will have my boyfriends 15yo daughter with us. So it is probably best to go to the hotel. Looks like the Sheraton it is!!

There's a new one right across from the Sheraton, Airport. It used to be the Days Inn. I know they did massive renos on the outside!

Why not check out the Sheraton right at the airport. No Shuttles then.

Scratch42 - I've checked out the Sheraton in the airport - I would much rather stay there - but it is $259 a night. But if we stayed on Saturday night instead of Sunday night the rate would be $140. I can't justify spending $259 plus tax at the Sheraton for only a few hours. The Sheraton Airport West is only $100 - much better deal but not as convenient.

Who are you flying with?
Don't some airlines have lounges with shower facilities at Pearson?
I think you can use them for a charge.

We are flying with Air Canada, I'm pretty sure there is a Maple Leaf lounge at Pearson but didn't know you could use it unless you were an elite flyer.

Thanks for the link Scratch but unfortuneately I'm looking for a room on Sunday April 15th - that is when most hotels business rates kick in. It's still $259. I might try calling to see if I could get the Saturday night rate.

The Maple Leaf lounge doesn't have a 'day pass' you can buy - you either have to be elite, flying business class, or have a Maple Leaf Club card,

murcor - thanks for the site. I checked it out - same story as the Sheraton - we are staying on a Sunday night so the rate goes up - its $218 for a two bedroom. Too bad weekend rates don't extend to Sunday!
