At Thanksgiving Did Your Kindegarten Kids Write What They Were Thankful For?

While reading a thread by Kteacher it reminded me of when my kids were in Kindegarten. DD will be in 10th grade and DS 6th so we are talking a while back but . . .

When they were in Kindegarten they had to write what they were thankful for . . .

DD wrote "I'm thankful for my shoes"

DS wrote "I'm thankful for food"

Seeing what they are like now, I understand why they wrote what they did . . .

My daughter wrote "I'm thankful my Mommy took me to Walmart and bought me a book!"

DS wrote he was thankful for the FBI! The teachers all got quite a laugh.

When I read to Bernji's 2d grade class this thanksgiving, I asked all the kids what they were thankful for. Benji got real serious, almost teary, and said, "I'm thankful for more than I can say." I about burst into tears right on the spot!!
