I haven't had service for two days now.:confused3
I live in the Southeastern United States is anyone else having problems?
My phone says it's on a "No SIM Mode"
Any responses are appreciated
Thank You

I live in Florida and haven't had a problem. But then again I am not tech savy and not sure what a Sim is hahahha. But have been able to use my phone and get on web. Hope your problem clears up!

Thank you. A SIM card keeps records of your texts, calls, etc. When I try to call or text I get a "insert a SIM card" message and it is already inserted. I logged on to ATT.net but I couldn't Login under my phone number. Yesterday I logged in and there was a "network service issue" message. But today nothing. I thought it might be a widespread problem.

I have service and web access today. I would check to see if my sim card went bad. If has then go to AT&T store and ask change out for free. I take a back up phone just case the phone went bad need another one. If is the phone then. I would to the online AT&T prepaid section the website and order a phone. When order the phone be sure to remove the card for minutes before checkout. I have order 5 nokia 2330 phones for 5.00 dollars. Pop your sim card in the prepaid and good to go. They have some pretty nice phones to for prepaids.

I have a sim card went bad on me before and was not pretty. It kill the phone and the card. Lucky for me in was cheap 10.00 phone at thee time. Now if had been a expensive phone I would have cry.

I have the perfect plan for my self and I am not signing another contract ever. I have not sign a contract in 10 years.

My next phone is be a unlocked and unbranded LG Optimupus One 500 that is andriod that is running Froyo.

That's what I'm wondering. Is it my SIM card or just the Network. I guess I'll just have to brave the AT&T Store on Christmas Eve.:headache:
Thanks guys.

I had that issue before.

Is your SIM card overloaded?? Like do you save all your text messages, cause it only likes to hold so many before it starts freaking out. One of my last phones, I had so many texts saved on it, it takes like 15 minutes for it to start up. It's horrible slow.

My phone starts up the same as it always has, it just says "No SIM Mode" where it should say "AT&T" and when I try to text or call it prompts me to insert a SIM card. But thanks for your reply:)

It's definitely a problem with your SIM card. They will fix it fast. And don't worry, I've had to go to the AT&T store twice in the last week when the mall has been SUPER busy and those guys were bored. The store is definitely less busy than it usually is.

You don't think anyone bought you a new phone in the last few days do you?

We got my daughter an iPhone last week. The guy at the Apple store accidentally deactivated my SIM card and I kept getting a message like you did. He should have never done half the things he did and I'm only so glad he didn't deactivate my DD's SIM card or she would have figured it out. Maybe someone got you a new phone and the deactivated your old SIM card?

I would also wonder if someone might have bought a new phone for you for Christmas. I bought my daughters new phones and the guy at the phone store said that I could wait and activate them later. Later that night their 3G service stopped working. I assume something was changed ahead of time. But then again, I am also located in Tennessee so maybe something was wrong with the network.

I am in TN and have had no service issues at all with my iPhone or AT&T service. Hope you can get it worked out soon!

A bunch of people in southern California are dealing with a big outage of their AT&T landlines...probably not related, but still odd. (in this case, it's not b/c of flooding necessarily)

OP, when you go the AT&T store to get a new SIM card, make sure it's the CORPORATE store. i made the mistake of going to an AT&T authorized retailer store to get a new SIM card (mine went bad just like yours did) and they charged me $35.00! a few months later, DH's card went bad and we took his to the corporate store and it was free. needless to say, i was NOT happy.

My SIM card was just kaput. lol
I've had it for 5 years when I first had a Razor. I got a Samsung Impression about 6 months ago and instead of giving me a new SIM card the sales rep told me I could keep my old one because it was 3G. There is still a "Service Issue" message on the AT&T website when I login though:confused3

To momof1princess: Thank you for the advice about the Corporate store. We actually have one about 30 miles from the house and that's where I went. I also bought my phone there.

They closed at 4:00 today and I got there about 3:45 and Christine you were right! Not a soul to be seen in the store.

Thank you all SO MUCH. My phone has been out of commission for 3 DAYS and it was dreadful. lol

I've had similar problems on the past where the message was accompanied by the inability to make or receive phone calls or messages. I called their customer service and was issued a new SIM card. A few times it helped (temporarily) to remove the SIM card, clean it off, and put it back in.
