What are you doing now? Straight Talk is out for me, Net10 is getting there, I'm in my second month of service with Net10, first month after two weeks they throttled my data *I hadn't streamed anything* new month of service, I have data but it's s l o w...
Not cool.

Friend just switched to Virgin Mobile and seems to be working well here in the Boston/Cambridge area.

How much data are you using? Use too much data and most of the "regular" carriers will charge extra and most of the mvnos will "throttle" you. You need to price plans/carrier/mvnos based on the amount of data you actually use.

Streaming can use a lot of data. Uploading and downloading a lot of videos and even photos can use more data then you think. Are you using your phone to create a "hot spot"? Anyway you can divert your heavy usage to times you have WiFii available? Read the user agreement for ST.

Virgin Mobile throttles you after around 2Gig.

edited to add: I forget the OP already has an AT&T iPhone. That eliminate all the companies which use the Sprint network. Some are mvnos and some, like Virgin, are owned by Sprint.

ST switched from At&T to T-Mobile. Find a plan which throttles after around 2G and try to live with it. Companies that don't have a definitive limit may throttle even earlier.
