At OKW now.....no fountains on! What gives?

We are at OKW right now. In the 3200 rooms. We would have a nice view from our room except the fountains around the resort, in the ponds/lakes, are not operating. Instead we have a view of an algae filled pond. Yuck! Anyone know why they are off?

A lot of the fountains in the parks are off too. I know they turn these off for water conservation during a drought, but the ones in the lakes and ponds? Those are usually on to keep the water moving and keeping the mosquito population down.

We were at OKW Tuesday and Wednesday nights in building 30. The fountains were on at that time, but we did notice the pond behind building 24 was scum covered even with the fountain working. YUCK is right!

I just read on MiceChat that many of the fountains in the parks have been turned off because of the severe drought conditions in Florida. I imagine that applies to the OKW fountains as well.
