Hi everyone we are here now arrived at around 6 pm. The resort is really nice I am so shocked how much it mimics the Wilderness Lodge!!! It seems like a smaller version. I feel right at home since it really reminds me of DVC.

We got here pretty late today we spent 5 days in vegas and then drove here stopping at a ghost town on the way. So I will add more to this thread with all my reviews.

First impression is that it feels like home although I don't have the wow factor I wish I would have had being we are at the Grand Californian. We never spent this much on Disney property before and I guess DVC just got me "used" to the accomodations. I don't know. I wish I had the feeling feeling of walking into the Grand Floridian or AKL that I get.

So I will keep you posted on our experiences this vacation. I will also post vegas with an almost 6 year old in the community boards. :)

While we were a little underwhelmed when we first arrived it was short lived and is a complete 180.

The hotel is gorgeous and while it doesn't feel like the Grand Floridian it has it's own special ambiance. Ds had a blast in the gorgeous pool too. We did too.
Having the park entrance connected to the hotel is amazing!!!!!! Also having another entryway to DTD from another hotel door is unbelieveable. Disneyland makes the most out of the limited space it has and is perfect for those who can no longer walk the vastness of WDW. We LOVE how close together everything is. Disneyland which is the exactly the magic kingdom with extra stuff like things that are in epcot is in tomorrowland. We have not toured the whole park yet although we did do California Adventure all day yesterday.

Contrary to the negative reviews we have read from different articles we think that park is fantastic. The themeing is really great. The thing I love about that park is that it is completely different exeperience than anything we have done at the world. While it has alot of similar things it has so much that is different. Paradise Pier area is beautiful. Screaming is an amazing thing to look at and even though DS is too short (by and inch) :( We had fun going on everything else.

so even though we have only one day under our belts we love it here. We had an amazing dinner at Storyteller's Cafe while DS got to make his own pizza :)

We hare so happy we came :) It is definitely a must do trip for the disney lover.

Today guest services gave me a bunch of balloons for DS to wake up to. It is currently 9:30am and it is his b-day today. I sit typing waiting for him to wake up :) We pooped him out yesterday.
