ASTROLOGIST PREDICTS RETURN OF NIXON
Reappearance of Antiwar Rallies, George McGovern Latest Signs
A leading astrologist says all of the cosmic forces are aligned for the return of former President Richard M. Nixon to the national scene after many years of absence.
Caroline Leavitt, the author of a dozen books on astrology, says that signs of the former Presidents imminent return are all around us, and we ignore them at our peril.
Massive antiwar rallies held last weekend in Europe and the U.S. represent only one of many indications that President Nixon is returning, Leavitt says.
We are also seeing important Nixon-era aides like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld re-emerging in key positions in the government, Ms. Leavitt says. Clearly, they are paving the way for the return of Nixon.
According to Ms. Leavitts astrological charts, any return by Nixon would be preceded by the reappearance of 1972 Democratic Presidential nominee George McGovern.
Sure enough, last weekend, McGovern returned right on schedule, she says, referring to the former South Dakota Senators appearance at a major peace rally. Nixon cant be far behind.
Ms. Leavitt also noted that President Bushs recent remarks, in which he said that antiwar protests would have no impact on his Iraq policy, sounded as though they were written by a Nixon speechwriter.
Or maybe by Nixon himself, says Ms. Leavitt, adding that there is still much we do not understand about cosmic phenomena like Richard M. Nixon.
In Washington, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld called Ms. Leavitts assertions poppycock and laughed off any suggestion that former President Nixon was returning to the White House.
As far as Im concerned, he never left, Mr. Rumsfeld said.
