associate members?

I have heard this discussed a few times here, but would really like more info. Search is disabled right now.
I am wondering if we add on, can I add my parents names so that they too can make reservations, provided points are available of course.

I don't know much about associate members but you can add your parents as owners. You can have 4 owners and they all can make reservations. I believe that all points have the same owners as the original contract. If you addon as a separate contract and/or use year. that makes reservations more difficult if you want to use all the points at one time. We have 4 owners on ours and all have stayed alone at separate times. I am usually the one who makes the reservations, only because they know I know what I am doing. Hope this has helped.

to add on an owner Disney charges you - they don't charge for an associate member

they can do anything you can - expect they can't get your DVC cash discount and they don't get a DVC membership card.

but yes they can make a reservation. - they will have the right to bank and borrow points - I am pretty sure - so I don't know how you would handle this.

I got told when I did my last add-on contract that if the names were not on the orginial contract - it would cost me to add them.
