I got a great prices from both, the difference is $225 more for Port Orleans. Is it worth it to jump from ASmusic to Port Orleans for the money? Or should I just stick with ASMusic? THanks for your input.

I have stayed at POFQ and All Stars Music. All Stars Music was the first on site visit we made. We have since stayed there twice. After the second time and after visiting POR, we decided that we would really like to stay at either POR or POFQ on our next trip. We went this past summer and stayed at POFQ after the renovations. The decision would come down to the age of my kids, finances, and whether I was going to use the pool much. The younger the kids the more I would be apt to go with All Stars. It is themed well for the little ones and seems to pack a big punch in theme for small kids. It is all Disney. The finances are a no brainer. You either have the money to spend or you don't. The food court at All Stars is actually better to me for choices. It is huge and can get crowded though. It is also loud. Lots of groups hit the All Stars so be prepared for this. Young kids and pre teens everywhere are the norm. The pool at POFQ beats all the other pools exept maybe Stormalong Bay. The dragon slide was a big hit with my kids. The pool at All Stars is okay. It is usually very busy in summer when we have gone and there is always a large crowd of young kids in it. Adults do not seem to get in the pool much at the All Stars when we were there. POFQ is full with a mix of adults and kids. POR and POFQ have a grat feel to them. It seems to be very laid back and quiet except for the pool area. The pool is so big that the noise and activity are not a bother for anyone. Boat service to DTD is also a big plus. POR anbd POFQ seem to be very close to all the parks except Animal Kingdom. The bus trips seemed to go by faster. The wait at the bus stop is also much easier to take. You are not in the sun and there is usually a good deal less people waiting at any given time. You can also sit down. ASMU bus stops can get hot and crowded. You have to wait in line as the bus can fill up fast. It is not covered. The landscaping at POR and POFQ beats All Stars as well. This adds to the general enjoyment of the resort. We would and probably will stay at All Stars again but this will depend solely on the money. If I can afford it I will always stay at POR or POFQ. When I asked my kids if they wanted to stay at ASMU or try another resort they really wanted to try a different place. Now when I ask that question about switching from POFQ to another place they just want to go back to POFQ.

For us to make that decision, we would base it on the pools. The pools are much better at PO than AS. We stayed at PORS in June and July, and at ASM in September. We were in the Jazz section. It was nice. The room we stayed at in the AS was much cleaner than the one at PORS. Jazz was nice because we were half way in between both pools. We are going again in Jan and Feb. We are staying at PORS in Jan and Pop Century in Feb.

I'm rather "thrifty" so after 6 trips to POR and POFQ, I thought I'd give ASMusic a try. What a mistake! I think POFQ and POR are so far superior as far as theming is concerned. And ASMusic was always so loud! All I could think of all week when I was there was "This is what you get for being such a cheapskate!"-everything just looked so cheap to me. That being said, perhaps I'd give ASMovies a try sometime-that looked kind of cute! But even though I was looking forward to ASMusic (DS is a Musician, so I thought I'd like the Music theming), not again there!

Don't bother, if ASMu bothered you so much, ASMo will too. Not trying to belittle AS Resorts but they are all basically the same. I enjoyed all 3 of them, since I'm used to being around kids, ASMo is no different when it comes to the amount of children and noise volume. These value resorts are more geered for families and that's exactly what they attract, I couldn't find a difference b/w them except the theming of each. I come from a big family and always have kids running around so it seemed like home to me. I am trying POR for the first time next year and I'm looking forward to it but if I can't get a room there for any reason I wlll stay at ASMo in a heart beat. To each his own, that's what is so great about the Disney Resorts they have one for every taste! Have good trip.

I am writing from our lovely renovated room at the Port Orleans. I've stayed at all types of resorts. IMO PO is the best value. I think it is worth the price over value resorts especially now that you get a refrigerator free. I like the larger and prettier rooms. The pools and grounds are nicer also. The boat to DTD is a treat. I don't want to leave!

PO hands down. We have stayed at both and I love PO. They have better rooms and it is so quite there even though it is a large resort.
