Hi, We would like an opionion on a room # to request for our trip in Feburary. We were staying at the All Star Movies until the the new codes came out and there were only rooms at all star music when I called. Can anyone recommend a room #. We have a standard room option. We like to be as close to the main court and buses as possible. A fax # for all star music and how many days in advance to request a room would be most helpful as well..

thank you in advance

We usually arrive at WDW on a Saturday and I fax in requests on Wednesday.
I list my requests, the most improtant at the top (non-smoking). I also let them know I understand these to be requests only, and not guarantees. But I do advise we need a non-smoking room.
At ASMu, my guess is the most requested section is Jazz, since that is the closest building without paying an extra $10 a night.
We had some friends stay in the Broadway section while we were there in October. And that section was not bad at all. It was close to a quiet pool, and seemed fresher and quieter back there.
Fax for ASMu, according to a telephone directory from October, is 407-939-7222.

As mentioned Calypso is the closest, but there is an additional fee to stay there.....the Jazz buildings are just past that and after the Jazz section is Broadway.

We stayed in Broadway this summer and it was nice although after a long day at the parks, we did not always appreciate the hike from the bus stop back to our building. We were on the 3rd floor facing a parking lot so the noise wasn't bad at all.

Whatever you do AVOID the Country Fair buildings. They are SO far away from the main building, although if it's quiet you're after, I'd imagine you'd find it there. In June when we checked in, although we had our ressie #, they didn't seem to have a room for us and so after 3 hours of deciding what to do with us, the found a room on the 2nd floor in that section. When we got there with our luggage (and it was pretty far away from the parking lot) we found it was a non-smoking room and since DH smokes we had to be switched....which eventually landed us in the Broadway section.
