ASMo questions?

1. I just read (on a review at Fodor's) that there are big tv's in the food court at ASMo? Can anyone verify this and give me any details.

2. I read that busses don't leave ASMo to go to the theme parks until one hour prior to park opening. If I want to get to MK for a 9 a.m. opening, does that mean I can't catch a bus until 8 a.m. Personally, I would prefer to leave earlier.
Can anyone confirm this and give me any details.

Hi Suzy ~

The last time I was there, there was a big-screen t.v. in one end of the seating area of the food court, where they always had a Disney movie going. My son loved to sit over there.

As far as the busses, while I can't remember exactly what time they came, I do know that we never had a problem getting to the parks on surprise mornings -- and I'm one of those who likes to be first in line or close to it. Gotta maximize that un-crowded time!!

We were at AS Movies from 10/2 - 10/5. There was a large screen tv at the far end of the food court. The TV always had Disney Cartoons showing (maybe the Toon Disney Channel?).

I believe that the buses do start running one hour prior to theme park opening until two hours after the theme parks closes.

An hour prior to opening should be enough time to get to the park before it opens. The longest ride from Movies would be to the MK which is about 15 - 20 minutes. AK, Epcot, & Disney/MGM are fairly near to the resort.

Also just back from ASMovies ( 10-11 to 10-16 ). We had no problem getting to the resorts in time for opening, even the early opening days.

A word of caution, depending on when you go and what season, sometimes the busses get crowded. A few times we waited for the next bus so we didn't have to stand for the ride. Being at the ASMovies resort, when you leave a park to return to the resort, you are the last to get dropped off if the bus is a combined one ( Going to all 3 All Star Resorts ). Definitely wait for a bus to get a seat on so you don't have to constantly shuffle around on the bus.

The drivers vary, some go faster than others. Once when we had to stand for a while, it almost felt like a new ride. "Disney Resorts - Speedy Bus Adventure."

Also can confirm the tv in the food court, don't know how big it was. They also have a big screen tv in the front desk area showing disney stuff too, so if the kids are bored waiting they can watch tv.
