ASMo Preferred Room???

Hi...I have booked a "preferred" room at the ASMo resort and I am still hearing different things about WHERE preferred is. I have requested a smoking room and from the looks of it there are only 3 smoking buildings??? I guess my concern is that "preferred" means close to the shuttle bus, food court, and pool.

I have been told that the Fantasia Bldg is the preferred room, but the smoking building seems to be further away than say Toy Story or 101 Dalmations. I'm looking to be closer to the food court and the shuttle bus. Can someone clarify "PREFERRED ROOM"??? I'm not sure the smoking building for Fantasia would actually give me an advantage of having a preferred room. Thanks and looking forward to some definite and concrete feedback!

Which is the smoking building Fantasia? I am guessing it's the one furtherst away, or is it just a certain section of a building?
I have my resort map and Legend from our January stay. But I don't see any mention of smoking on either.
We stayed in the Toy Story building (#9). Even that was not far at all from the food court, etc. It isn't a spread out resort like CSR.
Nothing seemed far away, but we didn't walk around ASMo. So I can't say for certain.
Personally I wouldn't think the preferred room would be worth an extra $10 a night. But that's just us. We aren't in our rooms that much anyway.
Let me know if there is anything on these papers that might help.

The map I am referring to is the PassPorter All Stars Map. It shows Fantasia Bldg #8 and 101 Dalmations #3 as smoking buildings. I'm assuming several bldgs are non smoking as well.

I guess what I need to know is... Is Fantasia the bldg for all preferred rooms? Looking at Toy Story on the map it could easily be labeled "preferred" as could 101 Dalmations. I've never been there so I'm not sure if the map actually is misleading when deciding on distance. The reason I'm looking for a closer room to Food Court and front desk is because my friend who is coming with me is deaf and if she needs anything its a shorter distance for her to request something. Thanks

Fantasia 8 should be VERY close. I would think it would be close even if you were on the far side of the building.
According to the resort map I have, 101 Dalmations are buildings 1 & 4. Buildings 2 & 3 are Mighty Ducks.
If you have a map, you can see where we stayed -- Toy Story (Woody side). We were mid way down (back side). We really lucked out on our location. And ASMo met all my requests -- floor 3 (no one jumping and thumping overhead), corner room, non-smoking. We were very close to the elevator. And they had that set up great. There is the elevator, then there was a separate room for CM's. Then another corridor and then our room. It was very quiet.
I have read complaints here of the noise form the AS turbo tiolets. But we didn't notice it. I think a lot of that had to do with our third floor location.
Other than the small laundry facilities, I really enjoyed our ASMo stay. The CM's were very friendly.
