Trying to decide which to stay at for Spring Break   . Need to hear some feedback...no sugarcoating. Which is better for teen boy pirate: and 30 something parents :earsgirl: :earsboy: ? We will be spending time at MGM and MK mostly, and a day at the water parks. Will use food court and resort pool alot. Planning on getting 2 connecting rooms. Appreciate all input.

I have stayed at ASMO and visited ASMU (and have friends that stayed there) and the only real differences I see is the theming is better IMHO at ASMO, but more so for little ones. The ASMU is quieter. I think most people's first choice with little kids is ASMO. I think more adult groups tend to pick ASMU. The food courts are about the same, the layout is the same, they share busses, so all that is about even. I would say go for ASMU with a teenage boy, he won't miss the theming at ASMO and it should be a little quieter for ya. The pools are about the same at both, just different themes. If he's into sports, you might want to look at ASSP too.

Thanks!! No, our teen is not into sports. He would find it very boring, his dad on the other hand might like it though. I think that I would like the prefered area at ASMU. The calypso theme looks adorable, and is close to food court.

Great thread...DH and I were debating between the two for our Anniversary trip in May! We are going with AS Music too!

Seems like we just got back and are planning another trip!! Congratulations on your anniversary. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We just returned about a month ago from our first stay at ASMu. We loved it :earsboy: We stayed in The broadway section and it was very well themed and quiet. The Calpyso area is very close to the main pool as well as the food court. It can get very noisy it seemed like so be careful of that!
have a great time!!

We've stayed several times in the Jazz section at ASMu, and I really like it. The theming there is a little more laid back than Calypso (which, to me, is a good thing), and it feels relaxing walking around there, especially the pretty like courtyard in the very middle of the jazz section. It's also very close to the main building - maybe a 3 minute walk. Of course, the only way you can ever be guaranteed that you'll get the section you want is to book a preferred room in Calypso.
