ASMo Mighty Ducks Question

Daxx's Wife here. DS (age 8) and I are going to WDW in a few weeks for a Mother-Son mini-vacation. We're staying at ASMo and have requested the Mighty Ducks area b/c DS is a huge Ducks fan. This is our first time at ASMo although we've stayed at Sports and POP in the past.

Now, I know that there are two "wings" (no pun intended) at Ducks, just as there are "Woody" and "Buzz" wings in the Toy Story area. Is either Ducks "wing" preferential? What should I request, room-wise and "wing" wise, if it's possible?

We stayed in the Mighty Ducks section in December. We were in building 3. Our room was newly refurbished and very nice. I dont think any rooms are preferred, but the wing we were in was closest to the main building. We were on the backside, so we had a courtyard view. It is a very quiet section (although Love Bug is even quieter). I think a pool view room would be nice, as long as the resort and the pool arent too crowded.

Whatever room you get.... have a blast... it's a great resort!!!

Unless things have changed since Ive been there last, when you walk into the MD section, facing the pool, the building to the right is non smoking and the building to the left is smoking. We have stayed in the nonsmoking one twice and really liked it.

We have been in the back of the building which makes it just as easy to go to the food court or bus stop at ASMU as it is to go to ASMO's main building(although I doubt the front of the building would be much more difficult). Another advantage is if the buses from the parks are doing individual All Star buses, you have 2 choices...take whichever comes first. And if they are shared, you can get off 1 stop earlier, at ASMU.

We stayed in bldg 3, facing away from the pool. It was nice and quiet. The room was redone and they were working on several others on the top floor. It was actually quicker for us to use the stairs to the left instead of walking to the elevator in the middle.

I was a little disapointed at first since we were hoping for Toy Story, but it was nice being close to the pool. Also, having the choice of using Movies or Music busses was great!
