HELP!

Want to take boys on short budget vacation in early Dec.

$55/nite special rate was not available at AS Sport

Reg Rate is available $77/nite

BUT... could get a Kidsuite at Holiday Inn Maingate for $69/nite, complimentary breakfast, etc...

Questions- on site or off

If do Hol Inn- has anyone had any problems with hotel shuttle to WDW parks???

I have stayed off site once and it was at the Holiday Inn Suites. I hated it. You just don't have the magic. The "suites" are really just two hotel rooms with the adjoining door removed. One room has the tv, kitchenette and the other room has the beds. I would stay on site.

Off site hotels all have limited scheduled shuttle service. Plan on paying for Disney parking (unless you have an AP) and car rental if you're staying off site.

Hi raelee- The Holiday Inn Family Suites ( not to be confused with Holiday inn tiki, maingate or kidsuites ) are running a special, buy1 night- get one free. They have kidsuites available, separate locking bedroom with king bed, bunkbeds in separate room w/ t.v. and nintendo game hooked up, living room/kitchette( microwave, fridge, coffee maker, sink . Kids eat free lunch and dinner w/ adult, everyone eats free at breakfast buffet. The special price brings the cost down to about 78.00 per. They have a free shuttle to the parks, but you need to reserve your seat the day before. This resort has a lot to offer and at that price it's a place to consider.

I would keep calling back until I get the discount. Hopefully you'll get it and that will make your mind for you. I have rarely not gotten a discount if I keep calling. I have to say the exception is this month, during SuperSoap.
I think late evening is the best time.

Mark and Sandra -Where did you see the 2 for 1 deal for HIF Suites? Its not on their website or Expedia- Thanks

Onsite. The shuttles to the parks from the offsite resorts are very unreliable.

Tigger Woods- I saw it on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions Board. It was posted by tink2dw. If you call HIFS directly, they will let you know if they intend to participate in this promotion.

I was not at all happy with the Holiday Inn. I really liked the AS's. It was convenient, the food court is 100 times better than Holiday Inn and the transportation is great. You just get a better feel from an on site hotel. I stayed off site several times before I caught on, and I'll never do it again. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

I would go with All Stars, too, mostly for the transportation.
Do you have an AP? The current AP rate for AS is $55, I think. I got my reservation through Dreams Unlimited, so maybe they could help you?

ON SITE.

Transportation at the All Stars is great. Your boys will love All Star Sports.

You'll be able to take advantage of the new EE. ( I forget what they're calling it now)

Raelee, No doubt about it, stay on-site. It is so much more worth it! The All-Stars are great!

I agree!! ON-SITE!!!!!!

Is there any other way? Not IMHO!!

I have done both and WILL NOT stay off-site EVER again!!

We are going back in January with 3 other families and They
all can not wait to stay on. They have not done this and I told
them one time is all it takes.

Keep calling back persistance always pays off!!

Good Luck!!
