OK, WebmasterKathy, when we edit a post later, do you & the Mods have to go back to read each time we edit? Sometimes I don't catch a typo or grammatical error til after I hit the Reply button. I swear it doesn't show up in the Reply box as I'm typing. But I see it later once it's been posted. I'd hate to make you guys have to reread everything, but I just can't stand finding typos in my post.

No, we don't read each post, and we don't review edits. In a fully moderated board, the mods have to read and approve each post before it will show up on the forums. We don't do that here. We allow posters to post directly to the forums, and then we just handle the occasional problems that come to our attention. The one exception is the DVC Rent/Trade board, which is fully moderated.

I think it has. The answer is that we don't review every post on the forums. We do try to be consistent in the way we handle problems, but with a forum this size, we simply do not see everything. And remember that posters may not see the whole story, either.

If a person reports a post that is months old, why would the mods give points. Seems there should be a time limit on violating posts.

There's really not a time limit, but we don't get a lot of reports on old posts.

No, we're not going back and issuing points for infractions that occurred before the points system was put in place.

Keep in mind I am a technical moron.

I am a team captain for the WISH Biggest Loser challenge. (GO RED!!!) Each week my 27 team members will be PMing their weight to me. Right now my PM box says I have 25 messages in inbox, 22 in outbox, 45 stored, and 120 allowed. As the total number of message increase each week I suppose I will have to delete messages. I have some special message that mean a lot to me and I think I can cut and paste them onto a word doc and save them on my computer.

I guess my question is about the 120 allowed. Would that mean 120 stored messages?

Yes I am a technical moron. I am just worried that someones message will not get to me.

The 120 includes all sent, received and stored messages.

I recommend printing or otherwise saving any PMs that are important to you somewhere other than your PM box. And you might want to switch the communications for this contest to email so you don't have a problem with the size of your private message folders.
