Ashley and Jeff's Wishes Wedding WP & ADH~12-2-2011~TR Day 6 Reception/Photo gallery

More more more!!!!! Mwa hahahahah. Love it!:woohoo:
Haha sorry, I'm kind of slow!!! I really wanted photos guess I will be adding them after.

I just read through your entire PJ and TR up to this point and can't wait to read more!

I was married just a few weeks prior to your wedding and it is really fun to read your journal and 'commiserate' over the stresses of the week and rejoice in all your fun.

I love your original cake design, your dress is gorgeous!!

I'm sorry you had to go through the scrim/carriage mess the way you did, but have a feeling you still had many smiles throughout the day.

Happy (belated) holidays!
Glad you started reading!!! Congratulations on your wedding:). It is amazing to look back on everything and all the different emotions though out the days leading up to the wedding.

Loving your TR, apart from the bits were you are upset and not feeling good, sounds like the build up to my wedding, glad to see you've not been sick on the monorail like I was!
Oh know sick on the monorail doesn't sound fun :sad2: I wasn't actually sickmitbwas just nerves! This kind of stuff makes me really nervous, I hate being center of attention.

I already posted this on Facebook but we got our Magic Kingdom photos back yesterday and df and I are not to pleased with them. The photos in front of the castle are either taken so far away or up close that the castle is cut off. The photos on the castle stage are all shot at a sideways angle and look like they were shot from the ground looking up. The ones on the carousel are really pretty and there are maybe a couple others we like but not enough to make an album. On top of that, most of the pictures are all the same shots just over and over again making it even harder to choose enough photos for an album, you would think there would have been different poses at least. It's so much money for photos like this.

Before I called Disney, I sent the photos to the photographer we hired for our wedding to get his opinion. He thought they were cool because of the uniqueness and said everyone that we show them to will love them, which is true. But he said from a photographers point of view he saw the same flaws I did plus more. He researched there studio to see some other photos and said it seems to be there style for shooting. I guess I don't like there style  The only way he can attempt to do anything to them is if disney gives us the original files. I'm not sure if they do that. He also said I won't be able to zoom in the photos much without making the photos blurry:mad: Come on now, we have had enough issues with this wedding. I can't get over how Disney thinks this is ok. With all the complaints with these photo shoots they have received one would think they would have done something about it.

Well there's my rant for the day! At least my wedding day photos will be amazing.:yay: which by the way he said we will have by early next week!!!!!! It has taken a bit longer because of all the photos he took. So excited :woohoo:

Oh know sick on the monorail doesn't sound fun :sad2: I wasn't actually sickmitbwas just nerves! This kind of stuff makes me really nervous, I hate being center of attention.

Mine was a combo of excitement and family stress that made me ill.

Really sorry about your MK photos.

Hey Ashley!
I responded on FB too, but this is such crap. You spent so much to go into MK and to only have a handful of pictures you actually like is crap. They should definitely let you do another session with a different photographer or give you your money back. I'm so sorry this happened to you! :headache:
Especially the money you spent on your wedding alone, nevermind paying for the MK shoot separately. I really hope they resolve it for you!

Yay for getting the rest of your pics next week, how exciting! Can't wait to seeee!! :yay:

So all week we were battling the issues of weather for this night. Our original plan was to have our Welcome Dinner in France. However, if the temperature drops below 50 Disney moves you to an indoor location. Of course I was watching the weather for two weeks leading up to the wedding. I pretty much knew there was going to be a slight chance of having it outside. Temps were hovering around 50 at night. When we got down there we contacted Jessica to find out where we would be moved to if temperatures didn't warm up. They gave us three locations to go check out that were available for that night. We liked the Living Seas Saloon the best but the only issue was that we had done table assignments for 12 and they have tables of 6 :sad2: I was really disappointed because Wendy created our fast passes and table names for that night and I wanted to use them!!! I told Pamela the issue and she said she would see what she could do. Well she was able to put some of the interns to work. She had them try and duplicate the table signs we made. Basically we were going to just split the tables of 12 in half and have two tables that have the same name. So we were able to use our fast pass cards:yay:

Dinner was scheduled to begin at 7 followed by fireworks in France. (they still held our location in France for viewing the fireworks)

Jeff and I were meeting our photographer in France at 5:00 to do some pictures before our dinner. We weren't too sure how this was going to go since you aren't suppose to have a professional photographer in a park. We did pretty well though, they were good about the amount of equipment they brought in. We did several pictures throughout France and United Kingdom. We got some really pretty photos from there that I can't wait to see. We then headed down to the Christmas tree and did a few photos there! From there we went to the ball and did some really amazing photos. This is where we ran into a bit of trouble. It was dark at this point so they needed to use some lighting. He had df and I stand on a wall with our bride and groom ears on with the ball in the background. He was showing us the photos and they were coming out really cool. However, a security guard came over and told us to get off the wall we can't be up there. So we got down and waited for him to leave to get more but he was watching us from a distance:rolleyes: That was fine Bob said they got exactly what he wanted. We took a few more photos on the ground :) with the ball in it and then headed to the water fountain. We got some great photos there with the water shooting up. We had to wait a few minutes but they were great. Bob and Tammy were so excited about the photos they kept showing them to us along the way. By this time we had seen many of our guests coming into the park so we decided to head over to the Living Seas. They had a women out there greeting everyone but she wouldn't let us go up because it wasn't exactly 7. Seriously, I'm there bride lol. Anyway Bob saw the Finding Nemo sign and wanted to do a few photos there which we did until someone came over and said we can't have professional photos there. Seriously

I'm going to separate this into two different posts because it is going to be too long!:)

Anyway we decided to sneak up to the restaurant and of course my parents were already up there. We were shocked how good it looked. I had never been to the Living Seas before. The actual location for receptions though is in a different area completely separate from the restaurant. It was really cool, there are huge fish tanks all along one wall. The way they set up the food itself was amazing, we were amazed. If this was just the welcome dinner we couldn't imagine the wedding reception. Everything was perfect we were so happy with the choice to move inside. It turned out great with all the kids, they could run around and parents didn't have to worry about where they were. I don't have any pictures right now of the setup, I will post a link to them when we get them which won't be until mid to end of January.

So food was absolutely amazing, from the presentation to the taste. It was fabulous. We got a lot of compliments. The chefs were wonderful too, they kept asking us if everything looked ok or if we needed anything. The desserts were fabulous too. The mini cheesecakes were to die for :) Df and I couldn't believe we were ever worried about the change of locations. I don't have a single complaint other than I wish it was longer!!! Here's a few photos that one of our guests took. Nothing great from inside....

We had two tables of 12 in order to fit everyone! This was table he was sitting at!

Wish I had some photos to show you of the food!!!

At about 8:15 one of catering people started telling everyone to go to the bathroom and get a last drink because by 8:45 we would start walking to France for Illuminations. It was really funny watching this big group of people being escorted through EPCOT. We had a person at the front of the line and back with the light lasers waving in the air. It was kind of funny. We couldn't wait for everyone to see the show! They thought dinner was amazing wait until the fireworks.

He took a few shots from the side while our photographer was shooting.

After the show we stayed for a bit to say goodbye to everyone. The comments from people were amazing. We had several people that wanted to know how we were going to top this night and some who told us we really know how to throw a party. :yay: It was truly an amazing night. I was wondering the same thing though how the hell we were going to top this. I was hoping things would be just as amazing the next night.

At this point it was 10:45 and hair and makeup was showing up at 6:00am so it was time for bed for me! Df and I decided we weren't staying together that night. He was going to stay with his brother. Of course the guys didn't have an early morning so they went to the ESPN zone for a bit. Two of my bridesmaids were staying with me so we headed right back to the room and got into bed. We talked for a bit, I knew it was going to be hard to sleep :)

I <3 this! :) More please.

The living seas saloon is so neat. We were going to have our reception there but feared it would be too small. I still kinda wish it was there. So glad you had fun love!

Love, ashley! The DP looks awesome and sounds like it ended up being great inside LSS! I hope someone got a picture of your group being escorted through the park!!

more, more, more! :yay:

We wanted to have our reception there too and thought the same. So it was kind of cool that we ended up being able to use this location for something else! Wish I had some good photos though, hopefully soon.

I will try to get to wedding today or this wknd!!!

more, more, more! :yay:
Thanks Tricia!!! It was so much fun. I so wish I could go back to that night and slow things down. It went by so fast

Just caught up, Ashley! Cannot wait to see more! Sounds like the DP was incredible!!

Brilliant Welcome Dinner can't wait to see the professional photos.

I'm a little late, but just caught up on your PJ. I really enjoyed reading about all the plans you made for your wedding day and I'm really looking forward to seeing how everything turned out! It sounds like your welcome party went fabulously, even with the last minute venue change. I'm sorry to hear about the hiccups you encountered with DFTW. You'd think they'd, at the very least, be a little more sympathetic. Weddings may not be big money for the Disney company, but it's pretty big money for their customers!

Anyway, can't wait to read more and see more pictures!

Thanks Tricia! I don't think I have ever been happier:cloud9: Hiring the outside photographer was probably the best thing we did!!! It was hard for him because of the timeline and stuff but they did amazing. It is nice to have some photos that are a little different and in some different locations!

Ashley,

Your photos are beautiful and you and your partner are such a stunning couple! :) Really lovely pictures!
