Ashley and Jeff's Wishes Wedding WP & ADH~12-2-2011~TR Day 6 Reception/Photo gallery

So glad you started your TR!! Sounds like you had such a fun night with the kiddos with the Magic Hrs!!

My camera blew a fuse on a bachelorette trip (didnt know what was wrong at the time) buttt I sent it to precision camera in Enfield- you can bring it there in person or mail it. They will diagnose your camera, give you a quote to repair it, then once you authorize repairs they'll do them and mail it back to you. They were awesome in fixing mine! Just an FYI :goodvibes

Sounds like your connections for getting your welcome bags were great! I'm really looking forward to hearing the great things about the carriage and the WP. I'm sure it was terrible to get there and see that and so easy to lose it :( So glad we know while reading that your day really turned out great!! Can't wait to hear more! popcorn::

Hi Ash! So happy you started the TR. I've got to say, at this point I want to give you a big hug for all the crap you had to go through...and I am also getting a little scared to know what will be happening in the upcoming months with the construction. :scared1: But obviously your wedding turned out wonderfully and I can't wait to read more. xoxo.

Ashley,

I am so glad you started your TR!! :cool1:

I am so sorry that you found about the scrim the way that you did. That is awful. I hope that the situation gets better before the end of your TR, or that you came to better terms with it.

Looks like you got a lot done before your guests arrived. Hope that you were able to take some time to relax and enjoy it. Your park pics with the kids are great.

Can't wait to read more!
Thanks, don't worry things get better! Just a really rough start:). It was so hard to enjoy much until after the wedding. I was so stressed and starting to get really nervous. I couldn't even eat. But I tried really hard to enjoy the time with family and friends:)

Thanks Tricia!!!

Thanks for telling me about the camera place, I am going to go there this week hopefully :). I hope it's an easy fix!

Thank you Courtenay! It is really stressful but as you will read things got better because in the end what matters was that I was marrying the man of my dreams. It's going to be frustrating now while you are dealing with it but everything will turn out amazing for you! I just wish the situation wasn't handled the way it was.

.Day 3 continued...
Tonight was Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party!!! I was so excited for this. I knew it was going to be hard though because we had so many people going. Jeffs family and mine were going. Everyone wore Christmas sweaters and Xmas hats, I couldn't believe how into everyone was getting. We got there around 5 and headed right for some food! I tried for months to get a group reservation:littleangel: and couldn't so we just went to cosmic rays for some fast food stuff. It was definitely a hard night. We wasted a lot of time trying to decide which ride next. So finally some of us split up. Jeff's. Ice and nephew wanted to keep riding the same stuff over and over again so that's what they did. I decided we were just going to start walking around fantasyland and hit each ride as we came to it until it was time for the fireworks. It was great, there wasn't many people there and there was Christmas stuff everywhere! It was a perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit. I loved having my grandma with us. We got her on almost everything but roller coasters! After enjoying some rides and lots of hot chocolate and cookies we went and found a perfect spot for the fireworks and parade. By this point it was starting to get really cold.

This is our family waiting for the parade minus the two girls to the left who look like they r part of the group lol.

The parade which is so much more fun at night!!!

After the parade and fireworks my family left, it was too cold for everyone and everyone was exhausted since most flew in that morning. Df and I hung out with his family for the rest of the night. We walked around and did a couple more rides, it was a great night:yay:

Things look great so far. Love the pictues. I have to ask what day was your day 2. I know we were down there almost the same time. We were in the MK on Monday 11/28. It was raining and there were EMH that day. Was that the same day you were there? We watched Wishes and then the new show on the castle in the rain. I was exhausted and wanted to head back to our hotel but my DSS (23) wanted to ride Splash Mountain one last time. It was after 11:00 by this time. Well, wouldn't you know it. We got stuck. Of course we had given my DH all our cameras and phones so they would not get wet (he did not ride). Well were stuck there for at least 45 minutes or longer and then we had to get evacuated. This has never happened to us before. Kind of interesting walking off Splash Mountain and getting a "behind the mountain" view.

Anyway, I was just wondering if that was the same night you were there. Now back to your TR.

Haha that is too funny that is when we were there! I guess we just missed being stuck on splash mountain because the kids dragged us on that a few times that night. That sucks though that you got stuck that long especially in that weather. I hope you were inside at least!

I guess rainy/cold nights are the best at MK, line wise :)

Day 4

By today I was starting to get more and more anxious about the wedding and I was not eating at all. I was so excited and so nervous.

We started the morning off by heading to Animal Kingdom. We got a little bit of a later start than planned since there were so many people. But once we got there we all had a blast. I went early with my family since DF's family is a little slower getting the day started. :) Of course the first thing we went too was the Safari. It wasn't one of our best safaris but everyone who has never been had a blast, especially Grandma. I couldn't get over how much fun she was having. It was so funny.

This is my dad, me, grandma and my uncle

My favorite; the giraffes!

We then took everyone on Dinosaur including my 83 year old Grandmother :yay: We had the whole car to ourself which was awesome. It was great everyone was yelling laughing. I of course had to buy the picture but never scanned into my computer so I can't post it :sad2: It was pretty funny, one of my aunts was looked really scared. We didn't really tell anyone what to expect other than it was bumpy and jerky! We also took everyone on some of the walking trails to see some more animals and then ended the afternoon with the Lion King show. That is one of my favorites. It was so much fun seeing everyones reactions to this stuff especially those who kept saying they didn't understand the whole Disney thing :thumbsup2 I'm pretty sure Df and I converted a lot of people that week!

Later on everyone went back to rest which was my plan as well. However, I went to my mom's room first to get some things from her and felt like I was having a panic attack. I couldn't breathe well and felt so sick. My mom had me take this anxiety pill she takes before she gets on the plane. She wanted me to take it a few days before wedding while I was just relaxing incase I had any side effects. (figuring I would need it for the wedding day) Well it was the best damn thing I have ever taken!!! Within a half an hour I felt so much better and all the nerves had disappeared, I felt like I could finally have some fun. It may have wired me a little though because I couldn't sleep, I decided to go meet up with Df's family back at AK so I didn't have to just sit around. This was a good idea because I got to do Everest with the kids. And of course with them it meant doing it 5 times :)

I'm going to continue this day on a new post since this is getting long!

Day 4 continued...

That evening my friends wanted to take me dinner! We decided Downtown Disney would be a good idea since there are lot of choices and its the easiest place to meet. We decided House of Blues would be a good time so off we went! There was probably 12 of us so we got a big table in the back room. We were having so much fun, everyone else in the restaurant was probably pretty irritated. Oh well, we were having fun and thats why we all came to Disney!

Df's old boss ended up being there, who I never met. He and his wife over heard us talking and figured I had to be Jeff's fiance so they bought us all shots! It was so nice of them and kind of a funny conversation. They didn't tell us right away who they were. He just made a comment that they were attending a wedding Friday. We had them join us for a bit and then they left and we continued on with the party night!

Df and some of his friends met us at the bar at House of Blues for some more drinks. It was really nice that everyone got along so well. From here we moved on down the West Side. We stopped for a few drinks along the way and were just enjoying what was going on outside. By this time it was almost midnight and we had rehearsal at 7 in the morning so most of us decided to go back to our hotel rooms. Of course some of the guys had to stay out and keep on partying. All I asked was that they show for rehearsal in the morning.

That would have been great if we had run into each other that night. Think of all the great Diswedding stuff we could have talked about if you had gotten stuck on Splash Mountain with us. We were stuck outside - but under an overhang so we did not get wet.

Loving your report and pictures. Can't wait to see how ADH looked for your wedding.

I know right!! That would have been funny. You could have given me some tips for the wedding day:) Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip. It is the most amazing time of the year there, I love all the Christmas decorations!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope everyone has a great weekend. I have been cooking all day, getting ready for Christmas eve with Jeff's family and my parents. We are doing dinner at our place so had lots to do today:) Now we just need some snow here to make it a true CT Christmas!

I will get back to my TR after the holidays. I am hoping some of our family will have pictures to give us so I can use them. Our photographer also took a lot of photos at the Rehearsal so I want to have something before I start telling everyone about the day because it was amazing:)

Merry Christmas to you too, Ashley. I hope you have an amazing first married Christmas!

I cannot wait to hear all about the rehearsal dinner! Have fun tomorrow night!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! DF and I had an amazing first Christmas. It was such a fun year and was great to be married for the holidays. Df's family is already pushing when we will be having children lol. They all have bets and everyone is hoping by this time next year, they are crazy but I love them.

My parents finished up almost everything on our registry for Christmas. I was not expecting that since we told them no gifts after the wedding. Our dish set is done now, yay!!:yay::yay: Our photographer sent us 10 pictures to show everyone as a Christmas gift. They are amazing. I love all them so I have no idea how we will ever be able to choose photos for our album!!! I was hoping for some photos from the rehearsal but didn't get any so I think I am going to hold off on finishing the TR until then. (I guess I jumped the gun on starting it to begin with since I didn't have all the photos I wanted, I was just too excited!)

I still haven't changed my name so I am hoping I will be able to tomorrow since I only work a half day. Hopefully the DMV won't be to crazy. Wish me luck :)

That is great your parents finished your registry for you for Christmas!! :goodvibes I saw on FB your new profile pic looks like it might be from your photographer, love it!!

How did the name change go??

Hoping you get the rest of your pictures soon so you can give us more details!! popcorn::

I know I kept promising to continue but I was really hoping for some more photos from someone. I ended up getting quite a few from the wedding but not much from reception or welcome dinner. I guess I will just add the photos when I get them. I'm sure it is going to be a whole with photographer since he probably took 3000 or more photos between rehearsal, welcome dinner and wedding day!

I couldn't sleep all that well that night because I was anxious for our rehearsal. Df was still sound asleep so I finally decided to get up and take a shower around 5:00am. Once I showered I headed up to my grandma and aunts room to finish getting ready. We then went to the boardwalk bakery to get some breakfast; trying to pass the time! Finally around 6:30 my two bridesmaid staying at the BW were awake so I went to there room so we could go meet my dad for 7. My dad was picking us up to go to the WP. Once he dropped us off he had to then go get the other bridesmaids. DF and his brother went and picked up all the groomsmen and met us at the WP. I hadn't eaten anything and was starting to feel sick because I was so nervous! I was practically shaking. Df walked over to the grand to find some food! He came back with bagels and water for all of us! Then Reverend Kevin's wife and our planner and her assistants all showed up at the same time, now the nerves were really coming :scared1: Rev Kevin sends his wife for rehearsal if he has prior obligations. She was great, and had a fun personality. She really helped calm my nerves. I have to say I was really impressed with the planners as well. I wasn't sure what to expect after all the crap they put us through but they were on their game and seemed really organized. This was a good feeling :yay: So anyways onto rehearsal, this lasted about 45 minutes. We ran through the whole ceremony twice making little changes so that everything would look right for the ceremony. It was so weird walking down the aisle with my dad, it started to really sink in, that I was getting married the next day. My dad seemed so proud. He had this huge smile on his face the whole time, of course mom did too. We were having a lot of fun, the guys were hilarious, trying to lighten the mood since it was quite early and most of the wedding party was hungover. Df and I were so happy to have finally made it to this moment:) After we finished with the rehearsal Pamela talked to us for about 15 minutes. She was going over all the last minute details for the welcome dinner and for the wedding day so we all knew where to be when ect. We also went over some of the last minute changes due to weather for our welcome dinner. I will discuss in part 2!! She was fantastic, I was getting so excited for that night!!

Once the rehearsal was done we were planning on meeting some family at Mk just for a couple hours. I was then hoping to get back for a nap and some peace and quiet before the festivities began. We did a few rides in fantasyland with the kids and then I headed back to our room. Df was with his brother so I had some time to relax by myself. The whole sleep thing didn't work well, I was too anxious and nervous to sleep. I was still able to lay down for a couple of hours though, it felt so good:). Then it was time to begin getting ready for that night:yay::yay:

I just read through your entire PJ and TR up to this point and can't wait to read more!

I was married just a few weeks prior to your wedding and it is really fun to read your journal and 'commiserate' over the stresses of the week and rejoice in all your fun.

I love your original cake design, your dress is gorgeous!!

I'm sorry you had to go through the scrim/carriage mess the way you did, but have a feeling you still had many smiles throughout the day.

Happy (belated) holidays!

Loving your TR, apart from the bits were you are upset and not feeling good, sounds like the build up to my wedding, glad to see you've not been sick on the monorail like I was!
