We come home Friday :sad1: Most of our family/friends leave today so it is time to start relaxing. We have some nice dinners planned over the next few days and we are doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour on Thursday!

Thanks everybody for all the wonderful comments!!!!

We had such an amazing time, just wish we could have had another week to relax a little more! We are exhausted, it was a long but amazing two weeks. We couldn't be happier, it was the most amazing experience ever:love: It's kind of sad that everything is over and we are back home in the cold weather. it's a weird feeling to have what we planned for, for so long just be over so quickly :sad2: I can't wait to tell you guys all the details, there is so much to tell and some amazing photos from what the photographer showed us! I will try and start the trip report this week but I need some more photos from people and some time :) Our photographer is suppose to get us some teaser pics soon and he is going to try and have a slideshow for us by Christmas. He took so many pictures though I don't know how that will be possible. I am so anxious to see what he has for us. He kept showing us some and they were amazing. I don't know which were better; the rehearsal dinner or wedding photos!!!

Here's a picture for now for everyone.....

So glad your wedding was amazing!! You look so beautiful! I can't wait to see more and hear all about it.

Oooooh so excited! Cannot wait to see everything. Love the one pic you posted, you're so pretty. :)

Thanks girls!! I am still on such a wedding high! Wish we could go back to that day. It totally sucks being back home in the cold weather. I havent started my tr because I have been quite lazy. It has been nice to come home after work and be able to relax on the couch with my husband and not worry about the wedding stress. It is a really good feeling to come home and have nothing to do. I promise I will get started soon, maybe even tonight. We also had problems with our camera, something happened with the lens so we had to start using my parents camera half way through the trip. Df had to try and get all the pictures off the camera before I could start anyway. He got them off last night and hopefully someone can fix the camera since its only a year old and it's a pretty nice ones!

So exciting, can't wait to read everything and check out your pictures. We left WDW for home on the day of your wedding. I would have loved to sneak aa few pictures. We also had our reception at ADH and we just love the place.

Linda

Hi Linda!! Thanks for reading along, it was truly amazing. We loved ADH, it was such a fun place to have a wedding. We did not want the night to end. Our guests were amazed by the place too!

Day 1

Neither of us slept the night before. We were too anxious and we were doing last minute packing until about midnight. There was so much stuff to get in order and I’m not going to lie I was getting nervous at this point. Our flight left Hartford at 6:20 am so we left the house at 3:30 since it was the weekend after Thanksgiving and we were anticipating things being a little crazy at the airport. Surprisingly the flight went by pretty fast, it was only 2.5 hours to Orlando. The first two nights of our stay was at Disney’s All Star Music. We weren’t overly thrilled with this decision but since we added these extra two days last minute it was good to save some money. After we checked in we met my parents at Paradisio 37 at Downtown Disney for lunch. We brainstormed everything we had to get down in the next two days before the guests arrived. :eek:After some lunch and an amazing margarita it was off to work. I went back to my mom’s room with her and my aunt and started putting our wedding gifts together that were being put in each hotel room in the block. It was not a whole lot of fun, I just wanted to get to the parks! I had about had it with the wedding stuff at this point, I just wanted to start enjoying things. Finally after a few hours we did get all the boxes made, ribbons made and welcome packets stuffed with last minute things we needed to get once we got to Disney.

The first thing we did before heading to the parks was to go to the wedding pavilion to see how things looked before it got dark. We had been guaranteed there would be no construction going on so I wasn’t expecting to see much of a change from August. Well, all I can say is the trip didn’t not start out in a happy way. We arrived to seeing construction signs all over the road leading to the wedding pavilion, walls everywhere and some huge wall thing down at the pavilion. I was trying so hard not to get upset but once we started walking towards the pavilion I lost it, I couldn’t believe this was happening less than a week before my wedding. We finally made it the pavilion and there it was the damn the scrim, that was not suppose to be up. I broke down again. I couldn’t believe this was happening and there was nothing that I could do. It was Sunday so there was nobody to call and Francks was not open. I got this huge knot in my stomach and just couldn’t believe this was happening. There were trucks behind the walls of the Spa as well but since it was Sunday there was nothing going on. I was going to have to come back Monday or Tuesday to see what was going on. So the first few days were not so good.

Once I got through my little melt down we headed back to the Grand Floridian so we could show my aunt the Gingerbread house and maybe make myself a little happy seeing where we would be doing photos on Friday. No matter what that hotel is amazing and they know how to do it right for Christmas, it is just beautiful.

In hopes to forget about everything that was going on we headed to Hollywood Studios for some Disney fun and hopefully a beer! :yay: We were all exhausted when we got there but there was no way we weren’t going to go to a park on our first day. We spent a few hours walking around and doing some rides. We of course hit Rockin Roller Coaster and Toy Story Mania, our two favorite rides. My mom has been having knee problems for the last year so she goes on and off being able to walk well on it. So because of that she has been using a wheel chair when we are in Disney because of all the walking so we get to get a handicap pass that lets us go to the fastpass lines! It is so nice to have especially for rides like toy story that always have huge lines! We also headed over to the Osbourne Lights for a quick walk through before it was time to get back to the hotel and get some rest. It was so weird having all the Christmas stuff up, you totally use sense of time when you are so wrapped up with wedding stuff. It just didn’t feel like Christmas before but after seeing everything at HS I was finally getting in the Christmas spirit. This was why I chose this time of year to get married. Jeff’s family was coming in the next morning and we had some running around to do for the wedding.

Oh almost forgot the best part. When we got back to our room that night we found this....

Day 2

Today Jeff's family was going to be arriving so we were trying to finish all the last minute wedding stuff early so we could finally enjoy some park time :) Jeff had some phone calls for work to take care of so my parents picked me up and we went back to there hotel. We packaged up all the welcome packets and ornaments for each hotel and labeled them with the reservation list so the hotel knew who was to get them. Just as we were finishing this and getting ready to drop them off I got a phone call from Jennifer, the women who is charge of dealing with the WP construction. She had called my mom right before Thanksgiving to tell her about a scrim. My mom was caught off guard as she was out shopping for our trip and had no idea what she was talking about. I then called the women back after speaking to my mom because I dont know why I didn't get the call. So anyway she didn't answer so I left a message and she was just now getting back to me. The phone call didn't go to well. I pretty much blasted the women and told her there was no point in telling me what was going on because I had already seen for myself. At this point I was in tears on the phone because this women is not very nice. My mom took the phone and then blasted her too, which is not like my mother! But she is just not an understanding person and didn't get why would be so upset to find this out. Anyway I told my mom to just hang up nothing left we can do. It didn't seem like we would ever get out of this hotel. I was getting antsy I knew Jeff's family was here at this point and I just wanted to have some fun but I got another call this time from Jessica. I had left her a message wondering about back up locations for our Welcome Dinner as the temperature was looking a little cool for that night. If it is 50 or below they move you inside, well it was showing 52 so I was getting nervous. We went over the locations and planned to go visit them Tuesday. Finally, it was time to get rid of all this stuff. We had to go to the Boardwalk, All Star Movies and Port Orleans Riverside. Since my mom owns a travel agency her Disney Rep had given her names of people to speak with when we got to each hotel. They were wonderful!!! They were going to put each gift and welcome packet in everyones room before the checked in :)

Now the fun begins!!!! All the major wedding stuff was done. Jeff and I met his family later that night at Magic Kingdom. It was pretty cold and raining but we weren't going to let that stop the fun. Jeff's niece and nephew were so pumped, it was great. We got ponchos and off we went.

Surprisingly the park was dead. They had extra magic hours until midnight so around 9 the park really emptied out. I'm sure the weather helped that. We really only did a few rides since we were coming back the next night as well. The kids just wanted to keep doing the same rides over and over again. It was pretty funny. We went on Thunder Mountain and since there was nobody there they let us stay on 4 or 5 times. It was great, I had never had that happened :yay: The first time on Jeff's nephew yells, "I love you auntie Ashley, thank you so much for having a Disney wedding." It was so cute, they were having the time of there lives.

Day 3

And the fun continues....

My moms family, some of my friends and our photographers were arriving today! They all had an early flight so would be in around 10:00am. I was so excited to have my Grandma here, we are extremely close and haven't had a family vacation in so long.

Jeff and I also moved over to the Boardwalk today. We were really excited, we weren't to fond of the All Stars. We love the Boardwalk area, it's so much fun there. We went over first thing since I wanted to be there when my Grandma got there. Bell service was great, they took our luggage and brought it over a few hours later!

Here's our room, we had a first floor studio as close to the dance hall as possible. We were going to have babysitting in our room for the wedding so wanted to make sure the parents could get there easily.

We met our family outside at the Magical Express bus! I was so excited, it was making the wedding seem so much closer and more real. We hung out in the lobby while they were checking in, only one room was ready so everyone was going to bring there stuff up and then we were going to go to EPCOT for lunch.

I thought this was really cool, I don't remember them before. I guess we never came to the Boardwalk for Christmas.

Finally off for a quick lunch at Italy, our favorite place :)
IMG_1252.jpg

I had to hurry up and leave because we were meeting our photographers at the Grand Floridian at 2:00 to go over location stuff. I was really nervous heading over there because I had no idea what we would find today since the last time we were here things were quiet since it was a Sunday. So we went through the whole layout of the day. Where the guys will be, where the girls will be, showing him locations to shoot in the GF. We then headed down the path to the WP to only find out there was construction going. We had been told that none of that was happening until after the New Year so what the hell was going on :scared1::scared1::scared1: Well I tried to hold it together since we were with the photographers. We got to the WP and there was a wedding just ending and one that was going to be taking place so we had to hurry to show him everything over there. It was kind of funny they couldn't believe the scrim that was up but they were great and took tons of shots to play with angels and assured me it wasn't going to be in our photos. So the next shock comes in. Cinderella's coach leaves and it goes out on the street.....What the F*** I specifically asked about this and I was told it was still going to be going down the path from the GF. I made it through hearing the construction noise but this was the topper and I lost it. I bawled my eyes out. Jeff felt so bad and so did everyone else, we had to go take a walk. Once I calmed down a little I stormed into Francks and demanded I speak with a manager. After waiting a while Gina came back and said they were in a meeting and will have someone speak with me asap. She asked what was going on and I told and of course I started crying again. I just didn't understand why they couldn't have told me all this ahead of time so it wasn't such a shock!!! Gina felt awful, she gave me a big hug and didn't understand why I was told this about the coach. (I will talk more about coach on wedding day!) My photographers were amazing and were trying so hard to make me feel better. So anyways I had to let this go because we had a great night planned with everyone! The photographers stayed so they could get use to the place and we headed back to the Boardwalk to lay down for a few and change before heading out for the night :)

I will continue the rest of the night on a new post!

Ashley,

I am so glad you started your TR!! :cool1:

I am so sorry that you found about the scrim the way that you did. That is awful. I hope that the situation gets better before the end of your TR, or that you came to better terms with it.

Looks like you got a lot done before your guests arrived. Hope that you were able to take some time to relax and enjoy it. Your park pics with the kids are great.

Can't wait to read more!
