Ashford holiday inn or travelodge?

Has anyone ever stayed here using the park and go package? Just wondering what the area is like and if you would be happy to leave your car here whilst away at dlp? Seems like a good deal as we would need a room the night before leaving anyway, but then trvelodge also have cheap rooms at ashford - what do people think? thanks

We have stayed at Travel Lodge but were going on Eurotunnel so obviously didnt leave the car. Its on a leisure complex- cinema, lots of restauarants, gym and a childrens day nursery. It would probably be safe as theres a lot of people about all the time but I dont know if they do the option of leaving it there or not

no, it was just the holiday inn ashford central that did the parking deal. Was a good deal, but found some reviews on another site that said it has regular weekend discos til 2am and don't want a disturbed night so that will be too tired to stay in the park til 9pm!! Have decided to opt for the other hol inn instead. The travelodge reviews i saw completely put me off! Thanks for your reply tho!

Hi, we have stayed in the Holiday inn on maidstone road a few times, and left the car, rooms are lovely and so is the breakfast, the Taxi to the station cost £15.00.

Our friends stayed at the Holiday Inn express and said it was brilliant, we stayed at the cheaper Travelodge and it was fine except that it was boiling hot and the windows hardly let any air in!

This is the one that we have booked, although they don't offer the park, stay and go package that the central on did. Is this something that you arranged directly with the hotel for an extra cost?

The first time we stayed the night before we travelled and again on return, just mentioned it to the hotel and they said no problem about leaving the car. The second time we stayed the return night only I spoke to the hotel
and girl said just to leave the car and go, hubby dropped me and kids at station, drove to hotel, parked and called a taxi to get back to station, everything was fine when we returned.
