Ashamed to wear Bride and Groom ears?????

You both wear your ears with pride and enjoy every moment of your celebration. I'll be there with my dad (he goes around Orlando toting a purple mohawk haircut all glittered up with pixie dust) in October. Our travel dates are Sep 25-Oct 15. If you happen to see us, say hi.

WEAR THEM, I love seeing them and telling complete strangers congratulations.

We are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in August and I plan to buy the ears for us. I plan to put the anniversary buttons one them with 20 years. Only on mine, im lucky DH has agreed to wear them in magic kingdom one day only. I am wearing mine the whole time. I am not looking for free stuff, I just want to celebrate our marriage. I was 19 and he 21 and we had so many people against us. Dh is retired AF now, and it has not been easy, but, with love and Gods good grace we made it. And are blessed beyond words with a boy and a girl. Lifes good.

PLUS, I never understand why DIS members post such questions. "I wonder if my fellow, HUGE Disney fans will think I should wear my Mickey Mouse ears? Hmmm..." It's like going to a sports team message board and asking if you should wear the team's gear.

And while I'm ranting, I never understand members who ask questions that can be answered with a very simple Google search. Apparently they are tech-savvy enough to join an internet message board, make posts, and even start threads, but they can't use Google?

Sooo I've been crazy busy planning out our Disneymoon for October. I was talking a friend of mine and I made the comment "All I have left to do is buy our Bride and groom ears and pins!" And her response? "Ugh, you're one of THOSE people? You know you'll look like an idiot advertising yourself for free stuff".

For my, that's not the intention AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! This is our honeymoon that we've been working towards since our wedding in February!!!! It's also my DH's first time! When I'm there for Christmas, I wear my minnie santa ears the entire time, so why wouldn't I wear my bride ears and button?? Do people really think this of the people wearing their B & G ears? I've NEVER expected ANYTHING free from Disney! I'm quite appalled at her comments, but now I'm second guessing wearing them

Opinions?

I love to see brides and grooms wearing those ears!

I'm sure there will be people thinking things about it. They're probably thinking things about my choice of shoes or the way I do my hair too.
The only thing you need to ask yourself is if you and your DH want to wear them. If the answer is yes, why would you care what some stranger in a theme park is thinking?
There will also be people congratulating you and thinking "aw - how cute".

Do we really know that this was resolved? She may have postponed her honeymoon to contemplate such a serious decision. Now that I think about it, I don't remember seeing a post trip report?? Hmmmm!!!!

I thought I was too cool for the bride and groom ears on my honeymoon back in '96. Now every time I think about it I wish I hadn't been such a dipstick and DW and I had worn those things for all to see!
