As the Year of a Million Dreams comes to a close, does it seem like people are getting dreamed more often? Seems like alot of people have seen the dream team, have gotten a dream, or have received packages from the postcards they are sending in, quite often lately. What does everyone else think of this?

...they have a lot of inventory they need to get rid of? :confused3
We were dreamed the Dream FPs at DHS when there was absolutely NO wait for anything except Toy Story Mania which was even only a 15 min. wait.
It was fun to have it as a souvenir, but we really didn't benefit from it in any way.
It was a fun promotion, but I won't be sad to see it go...

I honestly don't want YOAMD to end!! It was so special being there, getting dreamed TWICE and also seeing others receive things. My BFF got a Dream FP when she went (I was sooooo jealous lol), and I just think it's a wonderful promotion for WDW to do. I'll be so sad to see it end..... :(

Sorry but the Dream Squad was basically gone during our visit. I only saw two people in Dream clothes in all 9 days of my visit ending last week. I only saw a few fast passes and ears being worn each day too. I was again disappointed for my DD. But I understand why we never got Dreamed. With her GAC we bypass normal lines and only stay in the parks for 2 or 3 hours at time and usually in the afternoons.

I'm glad the YOMD is going away. It was not a giveaway that just anyone could win. We are proof of that. It made too many people feel left out. I find it incredible that Disney could not have at least awarded each person that stayed in a resort one cheap 2 dollar pair of dream ears or something.

Before the flaming starts let me state this. In the last 2 years and 17 days of visits we never even saw a dream gift awarded and never won one ourselves. My DD was given a Tink pin by a nice CM but thats all she got. So much for a million dreams. If you won one or more consider yourself very special.

Oh and still nothing from the 50 post cards sent in either.

I thought it was a great promotion!! I love the way it is all random and I'm surprised at the anger some people feel about not getting "dreamed".

The thing that surprised me the most was how many people had no clue that it was even going on. When we won Dream FPs in the Dinosaur pre-show room, the poor Dream Team was nearly trampled by people trying to push past them and rush out to get in line. DH and I were literally the only ones in the room who knew what was going on. In One Man's Dream, they practically had to tackle the people coming in to give 'em the FPs. People would see 'em and sidle away nervously saying, "No thanks...no thanks..." You could tell they didn't even know what it was.

I don't think its anger for me its more of a disappointment. We spent 17 days in Disney over the last two years and I have never seen the dream team award a dream. However another family that we traveled with received dream ears and their oldest son was the big Kahuana at Typhoon Lagoon one day. However this did make us a little angry on our second to last day there on our last trip, my husband and 2 year old were getting off of Small World (it takes her a little while to walk up the exit and she insists on doing it herself) and when they turned the corner the Dream Team was there handing out dream fastpasses. Everyone riding the boat in front of them and everyone else on the boat they were in received them, except for them - my husband even asked hey what about us we were on the same boat and they just looked it him and smiled. I was just glad that it was my 2 yr old and not my 6 year old her heart would have been broken - she would have been so disappointed. I know its random and everything but I do have to agree that I am glad to see it ending it really was a disappointment to not get "dreamed" anything by the dream team. It was a great promotion though I just wish there would have a been a way to include more people in the "dreaming" part.

I was sooo hoping to get a dream while in disney and I didn't even see one single dream team member! we were there for 9 days also ;/ I would have been thrilled to at least see what they look like lol

I can see how it could let a lot of families and children down. When we went a few months ago we had no idea how it all worked so we weren't looking out for anybody. I could care less if it stays or goes. I've been mailing in but I'm not expecting to win anything and my hopes won't be crushed if we don't ... it's just something to do you know?

I thought it was great, I'd love to see it return someday.

We didn't see any Dream team memebers when we were there last time, sure would be nice to this time, but the dream for me is just being there. So many people will never have the chance to visit Disney, and in all honesty my family shoudln't be going this year either. The money we have saved for this trip would be better spent on our roof that needs to be replaced (due to to excessive leaking), but instead we will be financing the roof and going on our trip (we'll always have bills, you only get youg kids for so long.) When I am in Disney I am just so greatful to be there experiencing it with my children and husband. Any extra "dream" we got would just be gravy...

I love to read about other's "dreams". It doesn't make me sad at all. Sure, I'd love a night in Cinderella's castle, a set of dream ears, a fastpass, anything, but it won't make my trip any less magical if I do get them...I;ll Be In DISNEY!!! What more could you need???

I thought it was a nice promotion. I did have some issue with the logistics of the give-a-way portion of it; i.e. when dream prizes started and stopped being awarded at prize locations, and the safety of the Dream Squad members.

I will say the Dream Squad did a great job. They made guests feel special and being able to award a dream of a lifetime had to be a highlight of their job. The Year of a Million Dreams, and especially the Dream Squad will be missed.

I love the YOAMD promotion. I did get fast passes and a VIP seating for the Beauty and the Beast Show while we were there last month but even if we did not, I still love the randomness of it.

I feel bad that some people have received nothing but like anything else in life, some people win and some do not.

We are going the end of this month and I can honestly tell you that i didn't realize how many people were getting dreamed until on this board. I think part of the problem is that we get on these boards and we read so many stories of others getting dreamed that we come to the conclusion that we should be dreamed as well when we go. But I am realistic and have not said a word to my children about (they are too small to really understand the comercials) so not to get their hopes up. Like a PP said if we happen to get something then it just a bit gravey on top of all the magic. If we don't get anything I really don't feel as if we have any right to be disappointed since it is really not something anyone should be expecting when they go. It is like the lottery...would we like to win? Of course....Will we win...most likely not....will I be disappointed if I don't win....no because I don't expect to win.

Last week we got Ears, they had a lot of them in the bag on the floor to give out, and when we got FP at One Man's Dream, DH actually was in there, then came and got us at Playhouse Disney, he was given one coming in and leaving to get us, they said just take it, then when he came back with us he got another one. So in a matter of 10 minutes he was given three Dream FP's by the same people.

I'd say they are trying to get rid of them.
