Jenny: Don't apologize -- that's what we're here for... I hope things get better for your mom.

Thank you, it means alot. It is just scary when your parents get older, and anything can happen anytime.

Jenny No need for apologies! Family supports one another in happy times and sad times, and we are all here for you! :grouphug: I say you are right to be concerned for your DM, I would get her to the hospital to get checked out! Those symptoms don't sound good...better to get looked at especially if she's in that much discomfort, and with her history. Praying things get better ASAP!

PAS I vote for the Nov family trip! Lower crowds trump everything for me! I've heard Nov is beautiful weather too!

JANETThanks for the well wishes on the m/fIL trip! So far the British Invasion is survivable! :rotfl: only 5 days to get through, and I work 2 of them! Which is why I'm a little inactive lately, busy with family and keeping the IL's happy :) I think after they go home on Sunday, I will go with a friend on Monday ( Canada Day and a STAT for us :yay:) to see Brave! :cool1: I'm really looking forward to seeing that! Thanks as well for DS well wishes! Going into week 2 of his job,and so far so good...he's doing well and liking it :goodvibes
I'm holding fast and dreaming of the POLY daily! :cloud9: very excited for our trip!
Hope you all have a happy Wed/hump day! It's DH's 44 bday....well be celebrating at home, as he's a homebody :) I'll try to make it special for him, may stop and get him a cake after work  I    my guy, he's a good man! And we are so lucky he's ours

TTY'all soon! :grouphug:

She is coming over today for lunch, I am going to see how she looks today. I may suggest the hospital. Thank you so much for caring.:flower3: Happy birthday to your DH!!

Good Morning!

Jenny, I second what Chimo suggested. We're here when you need us - resort-related or not.

I haven't had a chance to go back and read yesterday's installment, but I look forward to it later today when DD's at volleyball:)

Thank you...I really value you all!

Hi everyone...

First I have to say sorry, I seem to be coming here to vent lately or talk about my problems! Not really RCing am I? I have to share one more thing...

I am worried about my mom. She is 72, her and my dad live in a lovely little bungalow in an adult community. It is perfect for them. My mom has always had many many health issues. She had 5 kids, and gave birth back in the day when they let you labor for hours on end, and then basically pulled out the baby, no caring what they did to her body.
So needless to say she has huge problems with her bowel and bladder. She had a bout with bladder cancer about 10 years ago, just before DH and I got married. It has come back a few times, but overall she has been very lucky. But, she does get very frequent bowel "attacks" as she calls them. Her stomach swells, she has alot of pain, and it is sooo hard to watch her going through this. She has had every test under the sun, and they have basically said she has something between "mega"bowel and IBS.
The doctors have told her that one day, one of these attacks could be fatal, should she not get to the ER promptly. Anyhoo, she is having one of these attacks now, and has been since last week. I saw her today, and she is very swollen, her face is flushed, and her whole stomach is swollen too. When I first walked in and saw her I tried not to show my alarm.
She had been to the dr., and they gave her another requisition for an ultrasound on July 4. I am just so worried. I cried all the way home in the car taking DD3 to preschool. I feel like something bad is about to happen.
I don't know what I or my DD's would do without her. :sad2:

Thank you for letting me get this off my chest, and I wish I had some light hearted RCing to share!!:flower3:

Jen

No apologies!!! That's what friends are for!
I'm hoping she gets the proper medical attention she needs.

We had an absolutely amazing, magical night!!! For those of you who I am friends with on FB, you saw the main pic I'll post...but long story short, we were treated like royalty at our 2nd favorite place on the planet (Fenway Park), and I cannot even put into words how wonderful it all was. Here's some pics of my hero...

HDBoard.jpg

and then this is him on top of the dugout

JayatFenway.jpg

They really went all out for us, and the crowd was absolutely amazing. Truly "magical". :cloud9:

Wonderful!!! :cool1: Thanks for posting the pictures, so fun to see!:goodvibes

I kept quiet on your trip planning yesterday but ..... I would have chosen the Nov dates, weather, crowd level, etc. That week between Christmas and New Years

Castle trip .... POR Royal rooms or AOA??? That's a hard one. Royal rooms for your little princesses! :thumbsup2 But then AOA would be so much fun. I'm still trying to figure out a way to add a night or two on there for my Oct trip. So I'm no help with this but the Pas family will have a wonderful time no matter where they stay!!!!
IDK what I want....now I am thinking first week October

Happy double digits to those who are moving into the ZONE. I haven't stopped moving this week. I'm looking for tee shirts but I don't like the new "flimsy" tee shirt materials. We need new Mickey and new Goofy shirts for this trip. We have decided to wear our Eagles tee shirts one day and some sort of Virginia Tee shirt on another day. I know that it seems corny but it is tradition for us. My DS(17) is staging a silent protest....just not speaking on it at all. Gotta love a 17-year-old.... I'm still trying to get into CR....Every morning the same thing... "we only have a 1br CL room) So NOT in our budget this year with the way that we are traveling. I still have not landed the ever elusive dinner with an imagineer.... So far this is not a wish trip for him, although he doesn't know what we are trying to do for him.
You know how those elusive rooms magically appear within the 45 day mark :goodvibes Good luck getting DS into the tee...I really like the tradition step! :cool2:

Princess rooms sound perfect!! What a neat surprise that would be! How close to 40 in is Bree now? Wouldn't it be wonderful if she hit that mark for your next trip? Mid November is still 4 1/2 mos away!
Bree is 39.5 inches...100cm to be exact. SO close....

Pas Congrats on your new job. 2600 for 1 night. That's like 10 days at an epcot resort.
Yeah it's a bit nutty...I could bring everyone to RPC for HRHs birthday on the BB for one night  Did I mention I am nervous for Friday...:scared:

For some reason I have "Here We Come to Save the Day! Don't Keep Your Changing at Bay!" to the tune of The Mighty Mouse theme. :rotfl:

Pas: Makes total sense, the newest change. We've booked two nights at POR in the Royal Guest Rooms for our trip in September. I'd be having your conundrum right now if the LM rooms were open at the AoA. Instead we're just doing that in January instead. Got to get AoA out of my system...
I love the rooms, but I'd rather stay in a value over a moderate....ugh....decisions decisions :upsidedow

JC: Hey Sarah we need to drag Jeannette out soon as we need to do a celebratory lunch/dinner (oh, already told Pas we are doing this …. You are in, right??:upsidedow Dani, care to join us??

Pas: NOTHING you do will ever surprise me my friend …. Hope the family vacation plans work out for November as I know how much this would mean to you now. I want to say congrats on booking the Royal rooms but know that will give way to something else shortly ...
You know me too well!!! How about a picnic..pas style, kids can all come...

Before I forget....

they forwarded me the link to the Daisy award I received if you get a chance it is a touching story behind the Daisy foundation...I am the only Jeanette on the list

Made my reservation for the CP with Whoopie Dec 1
:yay::yay::yay:

I am worried about my mom.
 I am worried about her too...sounds like a visit to the hospital may be in order...IBS would not cause her to swell up like that. She is in my prayers...please no apologies!

PAS I vote for the Nov family trip! Lower crowds trump everything for me! I've heard Nov is beautiful weather too!
Happy Birthday to your DH!!!!! November is pretty nice! :cloud9:

pas,
Sounds like a great switch. That one night $$ total in NYC might have had one too many zeros on it.
;) So true!
We had an absolutely amazing, magical night!!!
Great pics! How exciting!!!!!

I am on the train on my way into NYC to see a matinee! For those of you considering getting iPads, this is an example of when they are great!

Jennyjinx, let me join the others and say you should never apologize for coming to you RC family. We are always here to lend an ear and give support.

Mousemommy, thank you so much for posting the pictures. What a special night for you and your family! :grouphug:

Sjs, yay for Whoopie at the CP! So exciting! :cool1:

Chimo2u, sounds like you are surviving the family visit! Happy Birthday to your DH!

Dani, hoping to get to Crumbs today...

Pas, my head is spinning, our RC Queen is back and making changes!!! No reason to be nervous for Friday. You are an amazing nurse and are an asset to any program you are apart of!

KOOK! Any changes coming or are you feeling good about the August trip ? :goodvibes

Thinking about our friends in soggy, soggy WDW. I think the sun in finally do to come out again today!

Just about to NYC (it's an express train) so no time to finish. To everyone I missed, hi!

Jenny I hope your Mom can get some help so she feels better soon. No worries about venting here, I know first hand how difficult it can be to deal with everyday life when parents are elderly.

MM loved seeing the pics on FB last night, simply fantastic and such an honor!

pas thanks for shareing the link to the daisy award site:thumbsup2

Waiting this morning for the announcement from Disney about the menu and when ADRs might open up for BOG in the new Fantasyland. Yes I so want to eat there it looks like it will be beautiful :cloud9:

Marie: :bday: to your DH!!

Bear sightings!!! :rotfl2: DH and I were talking the other day and we've actually had 4 up close and personal bear encounters all in different locations.

GG, maybe you will get a 5th one ... at WL in Jauary!

Janet yep staying cool the weather here was gorgeous today the heat broke after yesterday's storms :)

Made my reservation for the CP with Whoopie Dec 1

Sheila, today is beautiful but the hot weather is coming back. :yay: for the Whoopie and CP ressie! [of course since my mind is on sweets lately ... your comment made me think of whoopie pies....:rotfl2:

Hi everyone...

I am worried about my mom. Thank you for letting me get this off my chest, and I wish I had some light hearted RCing to share!!:flower3:

Jenny ... NO apologies neccessary ....we are all here for you! Think your mom should definitely go to a hospital for testing again ... you are right to be concerned. It is good that she has you close by.

@Janet: Awe! I am 20 minutes form O'Hare. You will definitely have to come here again! The weather is just awful. :sad2: It is so hot! Ugh! And this is coming from someone who wants to move to Florida. Though I can handle the heat if it means being near WDW the rest of my life. ;)

Hannah .... with DD's BFF living in Wisconsin now, we sure will! And next summer we would drive (about 13 hrs) then it will be easier to meet up!:cool1: (oh, unless you are in Florida by then ... :))

Happy Wednesday RCers,

Such fun yesterday to have RC friends join the double digit dance! :dance3::goodvibes

Janet,
I want to see Brave! Maybe this weekend. Merinda was at WDW last month, I saw her from a bit of a distance. She was just lovely with the kids that were lined up to visit her.:goodvibes

That's right ... totally forgot she would be a meet and greet! We'll be making time for that one.

Oh, I've been double digit dancing for a while now ... just have had too much on the mind to notice!!

Candace, love the picutures!! I did not see this on the TV last night :sad2: either I missed the segment OR as DH is right ... so often the network will cut away and go to commercial ...

You and the girls must have been so proud ... it is a wonderful moment for you all! So happy for you!!

You would know better than me:flower3:..thanks for your thoughts, I wish I knew what is making her body do these things. I am also convinced she has celiac disease but she refuses to get a blood test for it, or change her diet.:sad2:

Jennyjinx, let me join the others and say you should never apologize for coming to you RC family. We are always here to lend an ear

It means a lot to me:hug:

Jenny I hope your Mom can get some help so she feels better soon. No worries about venting here, I know first hand how difficult it can be to deal with everyday life when parents are elderly.

Are you dealing with the same issues? They are still really active, but I feel like they are getting close to major health issues, and it scares me.:sad1:

Jenny ... NO apologies neccessary ....we are all here for you! Think your mom should definitely go to a hospital for testing again ... you are right to be concerned. It is good that she has you close by. :hug:U

Thank you Janet....I am glad they live close by too. They used to live on the east coast before my youngest DD was born, but I convinced them to move back here.:)

I linked to your award...it sounds like you really touch people's lives in such an important way. Even though we are not face to face friends, I am proud of you too!:cheer2:

Hi Rcers, :wave2: we made it though Debby just fine. A couple water stains from that darned horizontal rain blowing into our roof vents, but thankfully they aren't actual leaks and dry quickly, just a little ceiling paint touch up and no mold to worry about. I would die. We also had some issues at our warehouse, the electric for the septic/toilets didn't work for for our tenants. But ok now. As it is, the long daylight hours have us working working working til 8pm and 9 pm every night. I cleaned up dinner at 10pm most every night this week. Truth be told, I am kind of glad we just passed the solstice. :scared: I could use a little more "dark" in my days right now.

We are off to N.C. Friday for the 4th week, then back home for a week and off to Wyoming & Idaho for me with my BFF. ::yes:: So much fun stuff always ends up packed into a short time in the summer. I wish I could properly space vacation time to maximize the fun and lessen the stress that accompanies trying to get away from our business. :duck:But not complaining. I am so fortunate to go anywhere at all.

A big HIYA! to any RCer I missed:

jennyjix3: Any time at all, RCers are here. You must be so scared. Stay strong and be brave.

Minnie&Nana: Hi. Did you ever put together the email for RC trip? :hyper:

stepdisney: Dining with an Imagineer is my dream dinner. :cloud9: I like the room ressie advice you received. That is good to know. I will certainly keep an eye out for CR for you.

pas130: Congrats on your new job. :cheer2: Good that DH is warming to it. I will need a flowchart for your changes from what I saw while skimming. So is November correct?

pixarmom: Exciting for your first CL Poly stay. I think Poly CL/BWI CL is one fantastic sounding trip. Nice for you guys. :)

mousemommy1: Awwwwwww for your DH at the Sox game. I'd be bawling with joy and pride.

wdwkook: You've great instincts to call the FD. :firefight Kramer and his Cubans sure could have used your eagle eye at Susan's cabin... ;)

Gwynne: Double digit dance. :yay:

Jungle Cruiser: How was the matinee? Did you do Crumbs? Oh how I miss my NYC. :cool2:

Lillian Gracey: You booked!!! So happy for you. :dance3: I hope we get to meet. Do you like Superdawg on Milwaukee? HIYA!

Disneydreamin247:
Congratulations to you on the weight loss!

JanetB: Oh great a trip to WI is just what the DR ordered. :thumbsup2

padawans: APs again???? Brave soul! :lmao:

chimo2u: The British Invasion! lol Happy DH's Birthday. pirate:

luvluvluv: Is your Orlando adventure on your TR?? I want to read all about it. :coffee:

sjs314: What CP restaurant did you pick with Whoopi???? You must be so excited. :goodvibes Candlelight Processional ressie day is THE MOST EXCITING DAY OF MY YEAR.   I love it that much! I made 3 ressies yesterday: N.P. Harris at Le Cellier; Whoopi at Tutto Italia; and Trace Adkins at Coral Reef (it is my desire to make Coral Reef fashionable again. Poor Coral gets one of the worst restaurant reviews in WDW, and I am singlehandedly out to change that!!!):rotfl:

pas That is beautiful. I wish we had nurses like you around here.

Jenny so sorry to hear about your mom.

Candace what an amazing experience!

Janet I'm in!

Sarah I'm jealous!!!

Marie happy birthday to DH!

My little Lil is sick. She's been running a fever off and on for 48 hours. We haven't had one since last night. I'm waiting on a call back from the doctor and I called in sick to take care of her. She was just laying in bed whimpering last night. It was so pathetic and sad.

Oh the poor thing, there is nothing worse than the wee ones getting sick. They are too young to understand. I hope she feels better soon.

Hello to all! :goodvibes

Yes, do so ... my DD is 14 and really liked the main character ... nice to have a strong female (fiesty) lead .... and who can resist those rascally triplets! Her friend, who is 10 really enjoyed it too.

The wild curly hair on Merida reminds me of my DD ... that and just the little of the battle of wills between Merida and the Queen ... good thing my my DD doesn't read the DIS....

Definitely going to go see it with the kiddo. :lmao: at "good thing my DD doesn't read the DIS."

We will be visiting DD's BFF in Salem, Wisconsin and it's cheaper to fly into Ohare than the Milwaukee airport ... and both are less than an hour away from where they live so it's not a problem for my friend to pick us up.

Then it hit me!! both you and Hannah are IN chicago ... wish there were a way to meet you both ... but never fear, believe a trip will be in order, at least by next summer and then we will get definite plans put together in advance.

Would be absolutely lovely to meet up. :goodvibes Hope the weather stays nice for your trip here!

So far the British Invasion is survivable! :rotfl: only 5 days to get through, and I work 2 of them!

British Invasion! :lmao: I love this. It's what happens here when my in-laws come to visit. Though mine never stay for less than 2 weeks. I'm sending you some virtua-wine with my mind...

Good Morning!

Hello and good afternoon to our neighbourhood hero, Kook. :goodvibes

Missountandabout,
Those phones will make us techno-hip, with it mommas. We'll probably have to learn to use them first, though.
And...I'll be singing the Mighty Mouse theme in my head today. Here we come to save the day! That's us RCers, for sure!

Now, I'm off to :laundy: I think the smilie is more fun than the reality.:rotfl2:

:lmao: Think we'll need an advanced course in its usage? :confused3 The smilie is so much more fun than the actual task. Thanks for reminding me what I've got to do this afternoon. :rotfl2:

She is coming over today for lunch, I am going to see how she looks today. I may suggest the hospital. Thank you so much for caring.:flower3: Happy birthday to your DH!!

How was your mom at lunch, Jenny? :grouphug: Hope you can convince her she needs to go see the doctors.

We had an absolutely amazing, magical night!!!

So. Flippin'. SPECTACULAR! How over-the-moon was he? He totally looked it! :cloud9:

they forwarded me the link to the Daisy award I received if you get a chance it is a touching story behind the Daisy foundation...I am the only Jeanette on the list

Jeanette, that is so very very cool. Every ED and every hospital deserves to be staffed with caring, observant and conscientious people like you. Jen said it best: we might not have met face-to-face, but I'm also proud of you! (And, can we clone you?)

I am on the train on my way into NYC to see a matinee! For those of you considering getting iPads, this is an example of when they are great!

Dani, hoping to get to Crumbs today...

Enjoy! Also, I'm very popcorn:: over the mention of Crumbs! Baba Booey, Baba Booey!

Waiting this morning for the announcement from Disney about the menu and when ADRs might open up for BOG in the new Fantasyland. Yes I so want to eat there it looks like it will be beautiful :cloud9:

Ooooh, I've got to go scope out the menu now. Hope you're able to snag an ADR!

Awww. :sad1: Hope she's better quick. Cute little one.

Sorry to anyone I've missed... :grouphug:
