Hello!! I'm new to this thread. I'm just curious.. How often did you guys change your resort before you made the final decision before heading out to that resort? Has anyone changed their resort right before leaving to Disney?

I'm a changer myself. I probably chance about 4x before I make up my mind.. But I have never had to change on the day we leave to Disney. If I just can't make up my mind, I end up splitting my stay. I actually enjoy split stays because I feel like I'm getting two vacations in one. Unfortunately, this trip is a short budget trip and splitting won't work. Thank you for letting me post here.

Makes perfect sense to me! Sure you're spending money but you'd have so much FUN! Wish I could get there ......

Me too...but not now because I won't be there anyway. Decided since DD has the wk off they (DD & sil & Miss Sophia) could go back to Safety Harbor and meet with the realtor etc...or just spend lots of time sorting through and getting rid of "stuff" around here. In the end common sense raised it's ugly head and I'm staying put until our RC trip.

So I booked an ADR for the dessert party. Then I realized I hav an Ohana dinned the night before...and I started thinking how far out AKL is from my beloved castle. No monorail, no boat, did I need CL...no I have snack plans and slushie plans...............sooooo let me check on WL...so I call. By the end of the call I ended up at All Star Music For the price.....why Music? On the WDW site there is a billboard for Beauty and the Beast..the 1st time I watched Beauty and the Beast was with DH at Disney...told you no rhyme or reason...time fo a ticker change...

This is something I would do too ...only NOT to AS Music. How about a nice MK Resort for the Dessert Party? Wouldn't that make more sense? Nice and close...easy to get back and forth.

(p.s. Did I read you and HRH are now at RPC in Sept? Boy, you must REALLY want me to come too!!)

Apparently, this is one of those amazingly AWESOME days. DH got word today that he has been chosen to be honored as a "Hometown Hero" at Fenway Park before the Red Sox game!!!! My family got tickets to the game and the recognition takes place ON THE FIELD with the players!!! we all get to be out there!!! You have no idea what big Red Sox fans we are and we're gonna be on the field with them!!! 6/26 game, if you're able to catch it on TV!!!

I've gotta start soon.

(I have to admit though -- not being a local -- I'm a certified NY pizza sorta gal; I only admit this online or back home and never in public here for fear of stoning. )

As a Bostonian for almost 40 years I can appreciate the excitement of this honor! Sure hope we get that game here in NC...perhaps it will have national coverage that day!! Congratulations!!!

Hey, I'm not that far from South GA! 5 hours...and at least we are way below the Mason-Dixon line here in the Piedmont.

For the Cruise documents. 8 days sure seems like cutting it mighty close to me...but doesn't matter anymore because now you are all but on the way!! Looking forward to some beautiful photos and at least a mini TR?

Just curious....but are all of my RC friends far, far away??? Magic's in FL, so I think she's the closest. Random statement, I know ...just started thinking about it with all the airline talk.

Well .... right here in Harleysville, PA. Close to NJ/NY for all my RC NE peeps!! Which you all were closer!

I'm in Kalamazoo, Michigan. My 5yo grandson thinks the name of the town where Nana lives is very funny. It does sound like a possible Dr. Seuss-like location.

Gwynne .... I always keep thinking of Derek Jeter (NY Yankee player) when I hear or read of Kalamazoo (he grew up there) .. (and your GS is smart, it is very Dr. Suess-ish!!)

I battled with myself for about an hour. I gave up my Contemporary dream and ordered an iPad2. The money is probably better spent that way, and it'll be more portable for me. I can't believe I'm going next week!!
