I'm distraught right now. The only copy I had of our itinerary is GONE. :furious: Someone took it out of my binder and I can't find it anywhere. I could cry right now.

I lose stuff like that all the time ... but it always turns up again. :thumbsup2 If you have to you can always call CRO and have them email you another copy of all the confirmations ....

Oh, my goodness, how frustrating.
Just in case it might help, here's some emergency pixie dust! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
Fingers crossed it works.

I have copies of all our reservations. It's just my spreadsheet that's missing. It will give me something to do tonight while I avoid my boss. I can look busy making a new spreadsheet. ;):rotfl:
I'm just super OCD and now even though all our reservations are the same I'm afraid our whole vacation will fall apart! It's a very stupid fear. I know that. My brain is just irrational. I have anxiety issues.

TGIF Update:

You can all sleep better tonight knowing that I've decided NOT to stay at BLT or VWL or RPC or FWC:rotfl:. I'm leaving the reservation the way it is - 13 nights WL/CL:goodvibes. Now, I am contemplating spicing it up a little by adding the DxDP, but I'm not sure about that. I also have our anniversary double-booked with CA Grill and Artist Point. Not sure what to do about that either, but my pioneering spirit might just lead me over to HDDR for a whole lot of hootin' and hollerin' (and all you can eat and drink;)).

My heartfelt thanks to all of you who chimed in about what I should do:grouphug:.

Dani, look back at some of the posts here:rolleyes1. I think we ALL have some OCD/anxiety issues, at least when it comes to WDW vacations. So, you're in good company and we all understand. The spreadsheet often IS our trip before our trip.

Staying the entire time at your favorite resort sounds wonderful as does a*

night at HDDR! *:yay:

Pas,
Congratulations on your Daisy Award!! It was wonderful to hear you were honored. :flower:

Mousemommy,
Glad things worked out and you're now booked at Poly. :goodvibes Will look forward to hearing about your vacation-it is a beautiful resort, and that pool is gorgeous! :beach:

Kook,
Your plans for WL CL sound like a fabulous vacation. If you stay 13+ nites, do they name a suite after you?

Disneydreamin247,
I totally understand-I need all my paperwork in place, too. Glad things worked out! :flower3:

I heart the mouse,
It's always nice to get those flights booked, isn't it? Your AKL CL/Poly CL split sounds very fun. :thumbsup2

I got several emails from Delta today--we've changed your flights...yadda...yadda.
So I dropped everything and got busy figuring out what would work best for us. I called, and I think this was my lucky day! I got better flights now, than what I got when we booked. We leave Orlando in Oct at 3:40pm!!!
I might just have to squeeze in a little more time at Epcot that day.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and Happy Cinco De Mayo tomorrow!
:dance3:

Since I can't decide between which resort...Can I book two??

So far I have WL/ WV room booked 6 nights w/ dining. For the same price (OK plus$3 more) I can get YC/SV w/ dining. I am torn as I love both resorts. I don't want to lose the deal we have with WL (Disney Visa free dining which ends may 18) and the YC (MYW vacay package ends julyish??) I don't want to lose the opportunity to get the YC room (BC is all full as of now). If my husband were to book the room and we were to cancel one when we decided which resort to stay at...is that possible??? Is that bad? I hate to hold 2 rooms at 2 different resorts when someone else could be booking it too! I can't decide between the two. I love them both and they both have pros and cons

WL- Pro- close to MK- close to dining (we have ADR's at Kona Cafe, Ohanas, & HHDR) Love the decor in the lobby- love the boat ride to the monorail or MK

YC- Pro- Love the bigger rooms- better pool- closer to Epcot (my fav)- closer to HS (my Husbands fav) other half ADR's at HS & E & DTD !!!

Looks like the Pros have made my decision!! Maybe I should just change to YC!!!

Did you see the WL refurb rooms???? They are so stinking cute, and brand new!!! But, YC is beautiful too, maybe less "kid oriented"? WL works with half of your ADR'S....you're going in summer??? SAB kills WL pool....hmmm, I'm not helping....sorry. Good luck!!!! :goodvibes

No I didn't see the referb rooms! I'll go look right now. If I could just take the best of both and mash them together.....

Congratulations on your award Jeanette. We all know how special you are, it's good to know others do also. And, I love your date, DS must have been happy and proud to be with his Mom when you got the award. You seem to have the magic :wizard: touch in knowing how to make each of your children feel special :grouphug:

Now then pas, you get the award for the most radical change of all. Didn't see that one coming :rotfl2: You all will have a wonderful time no matter where you are...and you have that amazing trip at the end of Sept. booked. Can't see that one changing :cloud9:

Mousemommy1, sounds like you finally have your trip just where you, and your whole family want it to be. You must be relieved to know that everyone is going to be happy...it's sometimes really hard to go to the resort EVERYONE in the family wants. :cool1:

WDWKOOK, thank goodness you are staying your whole trip at WL CL!!! I was awake nights worrying you were going to change! :rotfl: Is this going to be your longest stay in one resort? No changing rooms or hotels? I love unpacking and settling in and no packing until I (sadly) have to leave WDW. I have done split stays twice, and moving day can be a chore, especially when you don't have a car. However, now that pas has made the "mother of all changes" just a few weeks before leaving, I think I may have to hold my breath that you will stay put!!!

disneydreaming247, did you find your spreadsheet?!!! :scared1: fingers crossed that it has shown up. I know you will find this hard to believe at this stage of your life, but planning these trips gets sooooo much easier when your kids are older...anyone agree with me?!!!

sjs, isn't life better now that you have your Christmas trip booked :santa:

chimo2u, I think we are just going to miss eachother in the fall :sad1:, it would have been fun to meet!

Happy weekend everyone!

My date was not only the most handsome, but the youngest escort :lovestruc DS11 was SO well behaved it was LONG. But I am happy I went. I went up with the other nominees and I didn't win...which is ok but I was like, why did they make me come? 2 people keptsaing stay til the end. The only award after mine was the Team award (on the pamphlet I had) so I was a litte perplexed. But it was fine. DS was enjoying his soda and snacks...and I had champagne...all good. Then the Directors of Nursing took stage to announce a very special award. The Daisy Award for extraordinary nurses...and the winner is......uh yeah, didn't realize my name was callled....then they read all this nice stuff about me...picture me crying and red-faced. DS was in the second row two thumbs up in the air...PURE MAGIC :cloud9: This is one of the proudest moments in my career! I was told I was the epitome of a Daisy nurse, and after reading the book about what it represents, I am proud to be a Daisy nurse ....mind you after today (working 3 nurses short) my happiness may be short lived....:rotfl:

I think WL CL is it my friend :goodvibes

Oh, Jeannette....I am crying happy and proud tears for you!!! We all know how special you are and we all know you would be an incredible nurse...but to have this recognition from your peers...:cheer2:...and of all things, it is called a Daisy Award!!! :woohoo: So, so happy for you!! :goodvibes CONGRATULATIONS, dear friend!!!

As for WL CL - we will experience that in January, remember?!?! I can hardly wait!!!!:yay:

But did I read right...no Disney in May? Not at all? Well, that will just make your Mommy & HRH trip in Sept even more special! ::yes:: :grouphug:

Saturday Greetings, RC family! :wave2:

I am SO far behind...will never catch up! Going to try now.:thumbsup2

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday! :goodvibes

Happy weekend everyone!
 Hi, JC!

So ironic that you would just post this, JC:rolleyes1, as I am staring at photos of VWL's one bedroom. Last summer, we were booked for a WL/CL, Poly/CL split, but one day into our stay at WL I canceled Poly and we stayed 12 nights at WL. We were in the Presidential Suite for 11 nights, so I have to admit, I've never stayed in a standard WDW room for more than 9 nights.

When I told DH and DD that I decided to just stick with WL the entire stay, DD was disappointed and DH told me that we were going to need some "space" since we're there 13 nights and I should book a one bedroom for 4 or 5 nights prior to WL/CL.

So I finally called to book BLT today with our military discount, but it wasn't available:headache:. DD really would like that second bathroom, but it's my understanding that the only other DVC one bedroom like that is Kidani. DH put AKL at the bottom of his list and I'm not keen on Kidani either. He wants me to try to book VWL, even though it only has one bathroom. He even gave me the go ahead to book a FWC! I guess I should call about VWL, but in the meantime, do you or Christine have any one bedroom thoughts or ideas?

Well, darn....unfortunately, I cannot help with the 1 bedroom dilemma....I have stayed in a 1 bdrm twice, but VWL was a studio...and I truly LOVED it...more than the Lodge room we had for a day. Unless the Villa has been recently refurbed (OKW) or new (Kidani), then updates have been few and far between and it will depend on the unit - if it is not in acceptable condition, then just go to the front desk and ask for another. You know I think it would be very nice to experience the other side of the Lodge - but you do take the chance of missing being able to go up to the CL floor. :guilty:

As for the one bathroom - sure a second would be nice, but it is really a deal breaker? ;)

Don't give up on BLT if you'd like to try it....you know how availability can change almost hourly at times.:thumbsup2

Speaking of BLT - we are definitely confirmed in a std view studio for our December birthday trip! Not my first choice, but it will be fun to experience a different resort...and I've been missing CR, but have not been able to convince myself to stay there again for years! Very happy to be renting points - great value.:thumbsup2

Okay...I'll be waiting to hear the decision! popcorn:: Whatever you decide will be great!!

I just got off the phone with "resort rates" and it was rather painful since she insisted, even after I told her I wasn't booking anything and just wanted to check availability, that I give her all my current reservation information, dates, names, celebrations. It makes it hard to want to "keep calling back for availability" when you have to go through that every single time with the CM. I know they're just doing their job, but she said she has to ask for all that information because she can't get availability info. without it. I asked her how I would get the info. if I didn't have a reservation, and she said then she could just bring up the info:confused3. Sorry for the rant...

VWL one bedroom is available, BLT still is not (Congrats on booking BLT, Christine!). DH assures me that since it's a roomy one bedroom, I won't be thinking about being "next door" since we'll be "next door" soon anyway.

So what do you think of the VWL/WL split? I can't imagine many folks do this:confused3. I was thinking that since it's not CL I would add the DxDP to spice it up a little - what do you guys think? We have TIW so I feel silly considering the DxDP, but DD is really excited about the prospect and DH leaves these details up to me:worship:

Oh, and if I book it, should I request: High Floor/Lake View? THANKS!

KOOK, I would do it!!! Since I do not go for as long, would probably to an even split. Yes, high floor, lake view...though really, not more than a bit of the lake can be seen due to the trees.

Speaking of the DxDp - very much want to do this for December, but almost choked when I saw the total!! We'd like to do a few 2 credit TS so trying to decide it if would be worth the cost....thoughts, please? :)

I still think that all 13 nights CL sounds dreamy. :cloud9:

Jenna. Sounds like you may end up doing a split stay :)

Christine

I know in March we almost broke even even though we ended up scrapping I think 4 of our TS meals and did CS instead plus we used 4 credits for room service . Cost of the DxDP foe the two of us was $855.20 and when I totaled up what our meals, snacks and mug that came to $843.93. WE lost $11but the conviences was still worth doing the DxDP for us. All depends on how any TS you want to do.

I am thinking now if we want to 4 or more table serves over the 5 we will have if we do DDP it will be worth it to us this trip too

I still think that all 13 nights CL sounds dreamy. :cloud9:

I did it! Everyone ignore what I posted yesterday about not changing -what was I thinking?:rotfl:

So we are booked the first 5 nights at VWL/one bedroom and then we throw our stuff onto the balcony of WL/CL for 8 nights! Thanks for your words of encouragement!

I priced the DxDP and was quoted around $85 PP/PD with tax. I priced it out only because we aren't doing CL and we can add it to our RO reservation since it's a military booking. Christine, if you aren't doing CL, I would try it or I would try the DDP. If you have TIW, then I would just use that and then you can order/eat exactly what you want. You also need to take into consideration all the tipping associated with 3TS credits per day.

I'm really not a proponent of the DDP IF you have TIW and/or you're doing CL. It's just not a good deal then. But for us, it would only be for 5 nights of our trip when we don't have CL and DD really would like to try it, so we'll see if I can come up with 5 days of one 2TS meal and one 1TS meal per day...

I still think that all 13 nights CL sounds dreamy. :cloud9:
Well, 340 SF for 13 nights can feel a little cramped after a while:crowded: - especially on your anniversary:rolleyes1

Still no spreadsheet! :scared1: I will get it done tonight because I'm off and can just relax. Everyone is off tomorrow so no rushing.

kook I have to agree with Candace. Also, DxDDP was way too much food when I did it.
