More on the RCing in a bit after I get kiddo #3 on the kindy bus and kiddo #4 down for nap. But this just resonated with me so pardon if I overstep
DH and I see a marital counselor at least once every six months for a 'tune-up" if you will. Just to keep our marriage strong and happy. Anyway, a few years ago I told her that I was feeling like I was always last and felt a little resentful that nobody put me first. Turns out, after digging a bunch it was sort of my own fault. I got in such a habit of putting everyone else first that they felt awkward or uncomfortable doing things just for me. Once I broke the cycle and allowed myself to be first sometimes, the whole family followed along quite nicely and I think we have found a good balance.
All that to say. You are just as important. You are the glue holding your family together and it is ok to do things JUST FOR YOU! Because really, in the end, the whole family benefits if everybody feels important and whole.
Blah, blah, blah. Enough dime store psych. I wanted to say it, but feel free to ignore.![]()
I know it's my own fault...Funny enough, I recently started putting myself first at work....IT'S TOUGH....those who are no longer getting "taken care of by supernurse" don't like it one bit...But I was starting to burn out...the way I see this though is...this is a family vacation, so we need to all agress, at least somewhat..

THANK you for your input, it is great advice we can ALL use & follow
