So for now... I reserved the Cabana for full day 10-7 on Friday the 17th. The main reason for going cabana is both my skin cancer and DHs multiple skin cancers (baaaad sun ) coupled with DN and her DH absolutely loving a good “pool day”. We have a 8:45am Kona Cafe which works out well, but time constraints may necessitate switching to a 10-2 half-day cabana to realistically get to our 8pm Spirit of Aloha Show on time. Personally, I think I'd prefer half day so that I won't feel obligated to use the cabana all day if I decide I'd rather take a walk or a monorail ride, or go shopping for a while. We'll take a group vote in the next few days once our revised ADRs are made. Most ADRs still work well, but a few YC/BW centered ADRs will changed. Hmmm, it may be time for “ketchup”.

I forgot to mention this today. I was able to get our 'Ohana breakfast moved an hour earlier and secure a cabana for that morning. This cabana will be a surprise to everyone!

and Magic .. are you trying to secure a WCC ADR with that ketchup remark?

MM1: You should keep the Poly (or split with WL/CL?) since DH will be happier at the Poly and he's excited about it. Happier DHs mean more WDW trips

You've gone from pot-stirrer to voice of reason! That's mostly why I added CR in the first place. We love the BLV and room, I couldn't get BLT, we love monorail resort breakfasts and walking to the MK.

I hope your mom's recovery is still going well, Janet. Is she in much pain?

I actually have not done this combo yet!!!

What I need is for someone take this ressie out of my hands so I can't change it!

See, last year, despite all of the negative remarks about CBR, I had to keep my ressie because I had booked through SW Vacations (got a WAY better deal on airfare that way)... So I just had to deal with it....being able to change the ressie gives too much POWER!!!!

You know, I am not entirely sold on cabanas yet, but I worry about my DH. He's had a LOT of surgeries already. I'm a newbie with only one surgery. This Florida sun really takes a toll. So we'll try it.

Ketchup????? Did you say ketchup???? It has been several years and I am in the mood for some ketchup!!!!! It isn't fitting into our plans yet, maybe as a rain back up for Aloha. Or maybe WCC breakfast, hmmm....

Hmmm, MM this might be a good split! you have a long enough vacation that it would not feel bad packing up and going somewhere new, I think.....half at WL CL?? perhaps, and half at the POLY?? now the hard part would be choosing which one to do first!

I am a little disappointed, I went on all ears and looked at the menus which have been updated, my son's and my favourite meal (steak) at 50's PT Cafe is no longer on the menu!!!! after we had secured our dinner ADR there for our DHS day!!!! So I left it to my son....take the boat over to YC and have a yummy steak at Captains Grille, OR have a Burger Supper at Sci FI....guess what he chose? Yep.....Sci FI burgers! So luckily there was a 6pm opening available on Oct 3.... I grabbed it and hope I don't regret not boating over for that steak! Sci FI is a neat atmosphere, and I know the BOYS will find something they like for sure! Hope I'm in the mood for burgers that night,

Yeah, I'm to the point where I don't even want to broach the subject of change with DH. he wants the Poly, and the Poly he shall get...I want him to be happy and it's not like we won't be back. I will make sure to choose our resort carefully for our April trip so that I don't drive him crazy with changes...plus, once DFIL chooses where he wants to stay, we'll be pretty locked in...that'll be a good thing!!!

I'm so happy you were able to get a Sci Fi ADR. I have found that I'm able to easily get what I want even now at less than 3 months out.

Yeah, I dread added an intro - you won't believe the ONLY photo I have.. I have asked our RCer with a knack for clever words to help and she has graciously agreed to help. Maybe by the weekend...if the trip is still in the works by then.

I hope all works out wih BOTH trips Christine....and I don't need a photo, I get to meet Nana IN PERSON

Don't sweat it Candace, if there is an issue you let them know....all good! As to my vote.....and this is if it were me, DH, and my 2 DDs (mind you I have a Poly lovin DH) If a 5/5 splitwasn't doable. I would go with WL CL. A fresh refurbbed room and the extra special touches that come with CL....there are so many more activties at WL, my guess that the pool isn't a crowded either JMHO

And DH & I also added a night, too. DN & her DH already are staying 11 nights. I bought a fun tropical purse Saturday to kick off the festivities.
Now I am off to see if a cabana is available....

Yay for Poly AND a cabana I just booked an August weekend with DH since the AP rates are out...my plan was for Poly or WL (5% off....seriously)

OK, Dory, I love the line that it's never too late. To this day, DH still assures me that if I'm unhappy with my choice, we can even change after check-in...

At this point, given our narrowed-down resort preferences, my only choice is to:

1. Keep CR/BLV

2. Switch back to VWL pre WL/CL

or

3. Switch back to all WL/CL

So you are CR/WL CL for now?
And you CAN change after check in!!! Knowing the rooms go back into inventory, and DD wants a split (but it's your anniversary....kids always come first don't they ) don't change yet. I attempted to book a CR room but they only had Atrium Club available...and I still have my HRH RPC trip...(again kids first ) so for over $500 less I booked YC CL....Aug 9th to 12th....up for another resort to visit???
