My 9 year old son cracked heads with another boy jumping into the pool this evening and is now in the ER with DH. He has a broken nose and possibly further facial injury.

Any positive thoughts sent this way would be much appreciated.

Oh no, positive thoughts headed out to ya. :grouphug:

We just got back from our pediatric offices after hours because DD8 came home complaining of chest and stomach pain?!?! Turns out to be a combo of slight constipation and some acid reflux...likely due to the giant ice cream cone she ate after lunch today....:crazy2:

It's always something....

Awww, poor kiddo.

It's always something with these kids, isn't it?! Sometimes I think they may be more trouble than they're worth. I told DS when he picks my nursing home he owes me BIG TIME. :rotfl:

I know right? DD8 is VERY dramatic, and no matter if it's a paper cut, or her leg is cut off, I can assure you she will rate her pain as a 10/10 on the pain scale, as in THE WORST PAIN EVER!!!!! :scared: I am used to this, but tonight she was carrying on so much, and since we are so close to our trip I decided to take her in....well, the pain was migrating from her chest, to her upper abdomen, to her lower abdomen, and even her sides...the more I got her talking about it, she fessed up about the huge ice cream she ate and that her tummy started hurting right after that....*sigh* the doctor did his thing, but clearly thought we were both crazy, as physically she was obviously fine. *double sigh*. Kids. :upsidedow

Hopefully it's nothing serious. I know what it's like raising boys. I have been fortunate I haven't taken them to see a Dr in 5 years, but they have had multilple black eyes and eggs on their foreheads. I hope everything goes well. Sending postive thoughts.

I just got home from work...and saw this
Iheartthemouse: So sorry to hear this....I hope he is home and doing better now. How scary for all involved!!! pixiedust: some pixie dust for his recovery

MM: No illnesses right before the trip!!! Not allowed!:crazy2: It must be something about the oldest, ours is very dramatic about pain too!

JC Yes lets do meet up, I may not have a phone... (gasp!!) but if we nail down a time and place I will be there!!::yes::

Fantasia: We hope to be back in May 2013 also!! Possibly at POR too if all goes well!:goodvibes

Chimo2u and Dani: I am surly!! I am missing both of you at the Poly! GRRRR!:sad2:

My youngest is like that. He will scream over a papercut. I tell him he acting like a little girl, and that usually shuts him up. I know I'm a mean mom. As a nurse there is nothing than irritates me more than drama queens. Male or female. My oldest is as tough as nails. I have a hard time getting him to admit he's sick or in pain. It's funny how you can have two kids that are soooo different.

That would be awesome if we could meet! I was suppose to meet JanetB for August trip, but I just had to move it back for next year. I hope to meet her one day because she is a super nice person. I hope you do come down in May! :goodvibes

I hope your little guy is okay. Hugs and prayers

My baby is home! His nose is only mildly fractured and he has no further injuries. Following up with an ENT in 3 days.

Thank you all for your positive thoughts. You all really are the best <want to insert hugs smiley here, but I can't find him???>

mousemommy - glad your little one is ok too. :goodvibes

Thank goodness! You know, the RC pixie dust IS industrial strength. ;)

Tomorrow is our follow up with the hematologist. Hopefully we are cleared for Disney. We leave in just 27 days. Packing has commenced. Plans are being tweaked. Budget spreadsheet is in the works. All documents are ready to go. Now we just need August to get here! I really am not wishing away the summer though. I am enjoying the time with my family.

I am so sorry to hear about your DS. I am so glad he is ok though! My brother (17 at the time, now 19) dove into a pool and he dove too far and dove into the more shallow part of the pool and a chunk of skin on the bridge of his nose tore off. It was so scary seeing him come up with blood all over his nose. D:

I am so happy that I can make my ADRs tomorrow and I can finally talk to Mom about WDW in two days! :goodvibes

I was at a convention yesterday and one of the guests was wearing an Oswald shirt. I told him I loved the shirt. He said he got it from DL. :goodvibes

I like the way your mind works!!:p You could be my twin!!
Sending you some pixie dust too pixiedust: for Lilyana's visit with the Dr. tomorrow.

Industrial pixie dust. Love it!

I will be keeping your DD in my thoughts for the all clear! I so know what you mean about wanting the trip to get here but not wanting the summer to end!

Mommy wants a drink! Better not though because I'll be getting up every hour to check on him! Wish I wasn't such a worrier!

How can you not be with kids??? :confused3 If there is someone out there who knows the secret let me know too!! Maybe I can stop popping grey hairs and forget about my Clairol!!:rotfl: Hugs

OMG. The blood. There was so much and you are right it is SCARY! That reminds me, I have towels and clothes to wash yet tonight. :crazy2:

Yay for ADR day! :cool1:

I heart the mouse, so glad to hear your little guy is doing okay. You must be so relieved. :goodvibes. I totally understand you checking on him every hour tonight, that's what Mom's do!

Dani, good luck with Lily tomorrow. Once that doctor's appointment is behind you then you can relax, enjoy the summer and think about where you will be next month!!!

Hannah ADRs are so exciting! :thumbsup2

My mind is in Disney OVERDRIVE! :rotfl: I can't wait to actually book a client so I can do it for someone else as well as myself!

Thanks! I have a feeling all is well but I don't want to be too confident and jinx myself. After the appointment I have to go to a wake. An old friend's father passed away over the weekend. It really puts things in perspective.

Sarah I was thinking of you over the weekend. I don't have your cell number or I would have sent you photos of Lily in her bathing suit enjoying the pool. She is definitely in better spirits!
