Hot .... yes .... but as everyone who lives in AZ or CA will tell you it's a "dry" heat so it doesn't feel as hot .... I don't care it's still HOT!

I finally upgraded my phone to a smart phone! I've been waiting for this day! I got paid yesterday so my mom and I went to Verizon to upgrade my phone! I was so happy they had it in stock! I got the HTC Rhyme. I didn't want anything too fancy since I'll only be using it for text, calls, internet and games and not a lot of that fancy stuff. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a phone that I wouldn't be using to its full potential like a Droid or an iPhone. This one was perfect! And it's purple! One of my favorite colors!

Now to find a case. Anyone have any recommendations? I was going to get an otterbox, but I want something with a pretty design to it that wouldn't break easily. Especially since my mom doesn't like the idea of me getting a plain case and putting sticks all over it.

I just got one for DD for her 40th...she always wanted a Mac...she wanted a 13 in, small and light!

I am not much help because I have just one place to eat when at AK: Flame Tree BBQ. LOVE!! We walk all the way down to the last set of tables right on the water...a couple of times a boat went by with the Fab Five waving at us! LOVE FTBBQ!!

I am torn between a MacAir, iPad and Nook Tablet...of course the Nook price is fabulous...and everyone I know loves it...but also want something I'll be able use in case my laptop bites the dust sooner rather than later...so the iPad or MacAir would be the best fit...with the iPad being the least $$ of those two...decisions, decisions....not to be made for a few months, so have lots of time.

I am torn between a MacAir, iPad and Nook Tablet...of course the Nook price is fabulous...and everyone I know loves it...but also want something I'll be able use in case my laptop bites the dust sooner rather than later...so the iPad or MacAir would be the best fit...with the iPad being the least $$ of those two...decisions, decisions....not to be made for a few months, so have lots of time.

It can't. Howeve you could get a kindle for like $75!

PS if you know a college student and ou purchase before September 21st you can get a $100 iTunes card! I used my cousin to get one with my MacBook and they also get a discount!

I don't even know what iTunes is for!! lol My iPhone only has 8GB so I don't download any music...and very few apps because I constantly worry I'll fill up the memory!

Guessing if this laps goes sooner rather than later, I will get a Nook Tablet, then save up for a MacAir....or maybe get an iPad 2 instead of the new 3.

DH completely surprised me with an amazing diamond necklace!!!
I was shocked! I totally control the finances in the house and he has no ability to buy anything without me knowing, or so I thought....

He has apparently been siphoning money off here and there over the past year, and then when he was getting his travel voucher for his last deployment, he requested it in a regular check instead of the normal direct deposit...it's not a normal pay, so he knew it was just extra money that I wouldn't be expecting or asking about. Tricky fellow! Even after 10 years he has found ways to surprise me.

DH and I saw Wicked last night. I knew I would like it but was really surprised at how much DH liked it!

We are heading up to Lake Tahoe this morning .... can't wait to get out of this heat. It is suppose to be 102 today down here in the valley. Say yes to the cool mountain air and beautiful blue water!

We love Yak and Yeti TS. The CS isn't that great though. Pizzafari is pretty good for QS. They have a sandwich and salad option in addition to pizza. But seriously, Yak and Yeti was my second face TS on our trip (first was Via Napoli)

I have a regular nook which I use for reading. Dh surprised me at Christmas with an iPad. It is awesome. I downloaded the nook app on it as well. It's great because I have two ways to read. My kids sometimes use the regular nook too so this way there is always another option for me to read.
