I'm in Kalamazoo, Michigan. My 5yo grandson thinks the name of the town where Nana lives is very funny. It does sound like a possible Dr. Seuss-like location.

I made the airline change!!!! Now, we are the first flight out of Manchester on our arrival day, and last flight out of Orlando on departure day - BOTH are non-stop!!! I have successfully maximized our time in Disney, and for cheaper $$$!!!! Now, what to apply that credit to....

Yay for max Disney time and saving money! For my Oct trip I've got myself to Chicago for the wedding .... now I need to work on getting from there to Orlando and home again .... or at least to WDW .... I'll worry about getting home later!

Phew. Back... and alive. Oddly enough, I prefer it that way. I did get blamed for the kiddo's goggles leaking during swim lessons though. I was on an entirely different floor of the building so this being my fault remains a mystery...

Funny you should mention spreadsheets. *whispers* It even has rows for what outfits everyone is wearing (except the Hubs) on which days.

I have no idea how they handled the CM. She actually came up to me later and sort of snottily said "I can give you a hundred dollar credit if it will make you happy". I was like, umm, that's ok, our room is clean now and that is all I wanted.

Yikes. What a piece of work. Sorry you had to deal with someone like that on your vacation.

1. Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli from California Grill. It's an appetizer but they double it for me for a main course

2. Sadly, chemo means no alcohol I need to try a Lapu Lapu one day...

The Lapus aren't going anywhere; there'll be a frost pineapple filled with yummy goodness when you're ready for it! (My mom's first treat to herself after her chemo was completed was a huge, seriously big glass of White Zinfandel. )

Oh, that cheesecake sounds divine... going to have to go peruse their menu.

I need to catch up on the thread but wanted to post my answers:

1). Pizza from Via Napoli (you can pick which one!)
2). I had a really yummy drink at the F&W fest last year - it was frozen and coconutty!
3). Bread pudding from O'hana or a cloudberry horn from Norway or a Dole Whip float or almond cheesecake from Narcoossee (and this one I haven't tried but want every time I see the dining review). Oops, was I only supposed to list one?

Oh no, the bread pudding again! 'Ohana is calling my name. The drink, oh yeah... wonder what that was called.

Oh yeah. Gonna have to go and read these... it's a dream of ours to go down during SWW. Not sure I could handle the crowds though.

Good Morning Everyone It's my day off and I'm getting lots done!!

As of last night at 10:00pm, I was going to book 2 nights at the Contemporary Garden Wing. I wanted to walk back after EMH, and I haven't stayed in a regular room there--only the deluxe king. This was a for sure, and I wasn't going to tell DH because he would tell me I was dumb. (I'm going alone)

Sooooooooooo about 11:00, he reminds me that we only have one laptop charger between the 2 of us because Baxter chewed one up when he was a pup. So how would I take my laptop? The logical answer to this would have been to buy a new charger.

I battled with myself for about an hour. I gave up my Contemporary dream and ordered an iPad2. The money is probably better spent that way, and it'll be more portable for me. I can't believe I'm going next week!!

This is the most unusual "change" yet, I think: Disney to iPad! Love it.

Yes, yes, yes! I love this change! I hadn't had a chance to post earlier when you were thinking about it to tell you to go for it! We'd done something similar with this trip ourselves. We were originally going on a Wednesday, which turned into Tuesday. Then, the earliest flight on Tuesday was "too late" so it morphed into adding Monday night. So now we're taking a late flight on Monday and the latest flight back on Sunday. I hope our kiddo can get some sleep on the plane...

Oh my goodness!! Just got that darned SW email - was not here, where I'd have known early this morning about the sale!! But when do I go??? A solo trip??? Oh me oh my....want to take advantage of this and use that darned tkt, but must complete travel before Sept 28th. Darned SW!!!

Sorry for jumping in without saying hello...just trying to get back in the loop after our St Pete trip, but I will never catch up! Desperately in need of a Janet recap about now!

Yes, yes, yes! I love this change! I hadn't had a chance to post earlier when you were thinking about it to tell you to go for it! We'd done something similar with this trip ourselves. Actually, now that I think about it...when I first booked this trip, it was supposed to be in Feb for 8 nights, at POFQ....we all know the resort has changed multiple times, but I forgot that we did add 2 nights (which I believe qualifies me for the date changes, never mind the fact that we had to move it from Feb to July....) Plus, now I have changed flights on both days,
I, of course, have done multiple ADR changes along the way....

I think I have done every kind of change on this reservation possible!

Yay!! I just saved on our Airtran flights too!! They are also having a 3 day sale!! This is our fourth credit with them...now I have enough to pay for baggage and another ticket for next time!!

I battled with myself for about an hour. I gave up my Contemporary dream and ordered an iPad2. The money is probably better spent that way, and it'll be more portable for me. I can't believe I'm going next week!!

One more quick thing ..... if anyone is thinking about booking the Dessert Party the August dates just opened up this morning.

You had to do it Mama.....this provoked a resort change...don't ask how...cause I am gonna explain anyway!

So I booked an ADR for the dessert party. Then I realized I hav an Ohana dinned the night before...and I started thinking how far out AKL is from my beloved castle. No monorail, no boat, did I need CL...no I have snack plans and slushie plans...............sooooo let me check on WL...so I call. By the end of the call I ended up at All Star Music For the price.....why Music? On the WDW site there is a billboard for Beauty and the Beast..the 1st time I watched Beauty and the Beast was with DH at Disney...told you no rhyme or reason...time fo a ticker change

I'm a changer myself. I probably chance about 4x before I make up my mind.. But I have never had to change on the day we leave to Disney. If I just can't make up my mind, I end up splitting my stay. I actually enjoy split stays because I feel like I'm getting two vacations in one. Unfortunately, this trip is a short budget trip and splitting won't work. Thank you for letting me post here.

Kook, so you are really struggling with this trip. Clearly AoA makes more sense on paper than other options, but I don't think you are "feeling it". Can you list your wishes in a priority order? How does square footage, ease of transportation, food options, places to ambiance, running paths and so on compare? You mentioned the Poly, don't forget the whole bathroom is in one room...a big drawback with 3 of you! Is a split stay important, if so what are you looking for that the extra days at WL CL doesn't have?

You couldn't pay for therapy this good! Thank you for suggesting to me what I've probably posted many times to (other) confused DISers. I feel a pro-con list coming on

I LOVE goat cheese so thanks for posting about that dish. Every week I make penne with goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes - I love that stuff.
