Good morning ladies! I need opinions on this:

Dec 1-5 2013 4 night Bahamas on the dream:cloud9:
Dec 5-9 2013 4 nights WDW (maybe 3 nights, not sure):confused3

Is this a good time to do this ? DH wants to do cruise first, then parks. Fine by me....I am just glad he wants to do it! Is that week ok at the parks?

Also, if we do SW weekend in May, which weekend is generally better to go?

No changes for Upcoming trip, I was going to change our stroller model just for kicks...but left it alone!;)

4 and 4 sounds great!!! I think that is a great time for Disney, not sure about cruises....a cruise expert could help you out on that!!!

Good Morning Ladies!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!!

33 more days to go! :woohoo:

Morning!:coffee:

Pas...just for of you. And Padawans...does this tempt you just a little??? Of course it was made at the Poly:rolleyes1

Heather Yes I need advice, but not from my dh. He just adds to my confusion. I haven't figured out why I ask his opinion. He really could care less. He's happy with anything as long as its not the GF.

:rotfl: Just curious...why doesn't he like the GF? I'm being nosey;)

Hubster calls you guys my invisible friends. I think it's sweet. :goodvibes
I hope to meet you all someday, in the meantime, it's fun to post and hear about what's new and what the latest change might be.

 I like that...can't wait to tell my DH!!

Are you a member of Tourning Plans.com? It gives crowd counts....can't imagine that would be a busy week. Everyone is still in school. If hubby says do it....DO IT!!!

Are you talking about Star Wars Weekend?

:dance3: for your 33!!!!! 8 for me:dance3:

Yep, star wars....one of DH Disney dreams come true!:goodvibes

We've been 2 years in a row...my oldest LOVES it. However, DHS does get really crowded. And historically speaking, I think it's usually like that. Go to Touring Plans and pull up the crowd counts and see. I use this site frequently...it's fairly accurate. Even though the crowds are thick, my son still enjoys it! If yall are big Star Wars fans, then I say do it...at least once. Just get there at rope drop:thumbsup2

Ooooohh thank you! BTW I had a peek at one of your trip reports..you have a beautiful family!:)

Thanks Jenny:goodvibes We have a great time traveling with my parents...they love Disney as much as me. My children have been blessed with wonderful grandparents that love spending time with them.

Hey ladies! I started my review, but I don't know how to link it here! It is on this main resorts page. Hope you come check it out! :goodvibes

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have to get busy. Vacation laundry! Woohoo! :laundy:

I'd better get around to fixing my ticker as well. :rotfl:

Just wanted to pop in and say, "Good morning to all!" :goodvibes

Looks like I'm going to have a lot of TRs to read when I get back. I'll try to avoid the siren's call of food quizzes, pizza and Mexican food discussion -- at least until I return from torturing myself at the gym.

Hope everyone has a nice morning...

Stopped back by to add...

Southwest is running a 72 Hour Fall Sale, in case anyone is thinking about or has travel booked with them already. Saved a whopping $246 bucks by rebooking. :woohoo:

Now that Christmas plan is looking all the more enticing...

So, I was toying around on SW airlines website (I always check flights that I already have booked to see if I can get a better deal and apply the credit to a next flight...).

Well....our current flights are about $600 more than what we spent...BUT, if I tweak our flying schedule around a bit, I can save about $80 and end up with a bit more Disney time!!!

Right now, we have an 11:40 am flight, arriving to MCO at 2:40 pm. And, a 4:10 pm departing flight, arriving back at MHT at 8 something pm.

I could switch to a 7:30 am flight arriving into MCO at 10:30...(giving us an extra 4 hours on the front end), and then switch our departing flight to 7:30 pm, arriving to MHT at 10:30 pm (and also non-stop...which our current departing flight has a stop at BWI)...thus giving us an extra 3 hours on the back end...since we are CL, we will still have the lounge to hang at on departure day, and may even visit MK for a little bit since we wouldn't have to be on DME until 4:30....

Yes, its only saving $80, and only gaining 7 hours in Disney, but to me, it seems perfectly logical...I haven't run it by DH yet, I think he'll think I'm nuts, but who cares! What do you think? :confused3

I say go for it! The flights I got for our next trip are 6:30am and a 7:30pm the day we leave, extra time in Disney :thumbsup2

I always used to see this thread, but never thought I'd be on it! I've had CSR booked for a while, with free dining. We love CSR, and this would be our third time there. I recently had a very brief stay at Beach Club with my sister, and now I can't imagine NOT being within walking distance of Epcot! Do I change?? I'll lose free dining, and will likely pay a bunch more (even with the late summer discount), but right now I can't imagine being happy if I don't switch! But...what'll that do to my ADRs, and my carefully-laid plans?! I guess this is the kind of thing you all are used to over on this thread, huh?
If the switch doesn't impact you enjoy your trip (WDW jut isn't as much fun when you are worred about bills~yes I tend to overdo it) I say go where your heart takes you. Do you do a lot of TS meals~that may be the deciding factor on whether to keep the free dining too...an Welcome!

Pas I'm sure you can appreciate this. I hadn't actually cancelled my GF res. I had a hold on it. I was going to let it auto cancel. I decided to modify it, and cancelled the one with like 50 changes. Crazy I know, but I get embarrassed when they start going through my History. Now I have a reservation with a clean slate.:lmao:

I'ts 110 outside, and I am spending way too much time on the computer. This is the time of year when having 4 days off a week is not productive. Unless you consider changing your reservation everyday productive. I need a new hobby to get me through the summer. Any suggestions. Please don't say cleaning out cuboards and drawers.
I consider changing the reservation productive...how else to you get to listen to that awesome hold music. Guess I was posted same time as you yesterday...110  And OF course I getthe tweaking te new reservation and"erasing" the one with all the notes :rotfl:

I think they'll definitely be spoiled by this whole experience!
They will! But they will love it!!!!!

You're not rambling, you're offering great advice, which got me to thinking... so I did an AKL Vs. AoA spreadsheetOn my spreadsheet, I note some interesting facts:

CL at AKL is just $35 more than a non-CL SV room. A non-CL SV room is just $35 more than an AoA suite.

AKL has 1293 rooms and AoA has 1120 suites.

AoA rooms are 565 SF with two bathrooms and AKL is 344
No balconies, restaurants or health club at AoA

What did I miss? Oh, can I have that therapist's name now, Heather?
What if we attempted group therapy??? I think we could possibly drive the therapist insane....and on my spreadsheet AKL SV is less than 20 more than POR RR and CL only $80 more per night...I wanted to call and check WL CL rates...but I'm chicken...I'll just confuse myself

Got our Magical Express tags today!!!!
:cool1:

I NEED TO PLAN SOMETHING!!!
Jan...Dec 2013.....
The weekend was especially tough on my DD ... Sam's BFF left early Sat morning, they moved to Wisconsin ... Sam was so sad this weekend, we went out on Sat night for dinner and at the table she just teared up thinking about her friend ... nothing to do for her except try to keep her busy... but she did text/webcam with her this weekend ....

We always wind up in the Candy Shop. Is the bakery right next door? I'm missing out!

I'm seriously drooling. Need a bib. I've got all appendages crossed I can get into Le Cellier at lunch this coming trip...

Dark chocolate galore. Gotta go find that bib again...
Bakery is right there....and air condiioned s everything doesn't melt all over!!! Now Imust find a bib as well...........drool....

I have no idea how they handled the CM. She actually came up to me later and sort of snottily said "I can give you a hundred dollar credit if it will make you happy". I was like, umm, that's ok, our room is clean now and that is all I wanted.

Anyway, I LOVED all 4 resorts and will be writing a mini review comparing the 4 as soon as I get some spare time. :woohoo: I just wish I could pluck my favorite parts of each resort to make my favorite vacation destination.

Happy RCing everybody!
What a snotbox...virtual slap for her  And I have to find your TR :woohoo:

happy that DH is happy with us now .Well, he might not of had a choice as I plan on being around for a long while!!
 He doesn't even bat an eye anymore. When he comes home and I am on the phone he asks if its you or Disney....:goodvibes
Kook, so you are really struggling with this trip. Clearly AoA makes more sense on paper than other options, but I don't think you are "feeling it". Can you list your wishes in a priority order? How does square footage, ease of transportation, food options, places to ambiance, running paths and so on compare? You mentioned the Poly, don't forget the whole bathroom is in one room...a big drawback with 3 of you! Is a split stay important, if so what are you looking for that the extra days at WL CL doesn't have?

pas, my DH and I were clueless how badly the storm last night hit our town. We were just lucky, so much damage in town
You do always know what to say Sarah...Kook (well all of us) is blessed to have your sound advice!!!

I had no idea about the storm untl we had someone struck by lighting, and lost power. Again, I worry about you my friend...glad you are OK

I think DH needs to get his mind outta work and realize you gals are Family! Pas, knowing you'll be there to care for me makes e feel Great!
I got your back Marie  Tell your DH I have been fingeprinted an have clearance for my RN license..I am safe!

I've been popping in with interest, lots of great dining (and drinking) suggestions! Been a busy day, but I am take notes!

Hubster calls you guys my invisible friends. I think it's sweet. :goodvibes

It is sweet....I love my RC family!!!

That week will be great. Decorations, not as crowded as later in the month!

As for SWW, the earlier in May the better...you can squeeze in F&G, and schools still in session!
Pas...just for of you. And Padawans...does this tempt you just a little??? Of course it was made at the Poly

Hi Sheila!!!!

So I did check South West...sale is for flights Aug 13th on...yep coming home the 12th....oh well

Yay!! I just saved on our Airtran flights too!! They are also having a 3 day sale!! This is our fourth credit with them...now I have enough to pay for baggage and another ticket for next time!! :thumbsup2

Good Morning Everyone  It's my day off and I'm getting lots done!!

As of last night at 10:00pm, I was going to book 2 nights at the Contemporary Garden Wing. I wanted to walk back after EMH, and I haven't stayed in a regular room there--only the deluxe king. This was a for sure, and I wasn't going to tell DH because he would tell me I was dumb. (I'm going alone)

Sooooooooooo about 11:00, he reminds me that we only have one laptop charger between the 2 of us because Baxter chewed one up when he was a pup. So how would I take my laptop? The logical answer to this would have been to buy a new charger.

I battled with myself for about an hour. I gave up my Contemporary dream and ordered an iPad2. The money is probably better spent that way, and it'll be more portable for me. I can't believe I'm going next week!!

Well I need to do a little more of this: :laundy: I should be back later in the day to catch up!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Thanks I need to check flights for my Oct trip. I never wait this long to book flights! Guess I just can't believe how expensive airfare is! :scared1:

One more quick thing ..... if anyone is thinking about booking the Dessert Party the August dates just opened up this morning.

Will check it out right after this!!!:thumbsup2 And fix that ticker!

Just curious....but are all of my RC friends far, far away??? Magic's in FL, so I think she's the closest. Random statement, I know :upsidedow...just started thinking about it with all the airline talk.

This deal makes it much more affordable to go to WDW with my friend. Too bad I can't pay for the flight in the next 72 hours. :sad1:
