We are heading down to Orlando 4/21-5/21. Since it's such a long trip, we opted to stay at Residence Inn Flamingo Crossing. Our adult sons decided to join us for the last week. Initially I booked us for that week at Pop Century but then found a great AP deal for the Swan. We just love staying in that area with walkable access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. No more changes at this point! (hopefully)

Hi everyone! Trish! Haven’t been to wdw since Covid times! Maybe 2022? Stayed at CBR for Skyliner. This was after they stopped FP but hadn’t brought in the LL system yet so everything was standby. It’s a different wdw now! I think when I book another trip I’ll have to do some research lol! I used to be able to plan with my eyes closed. I have 1 more saved ticket, a 10 day non-exp hopper. I bought a couple when I could before they went away!
Mostly been going to Universal these days!

I love this thread & get so happy when I see it resurface! I'm amongst my people I'm back at changing our upcoming September trip. Thought we were set on BWI Garden Room CL but I couldn't bring myself to do CL on a 4 day park driven trip.

I usually post in the how many days thread but I avoided it yesterday and earlier today until I finished making more changes. Yesterday I switched from BWI Garden Room to AKL resort view. Then I thought well we might as well fly down on 9/2 and we'll just stay at a value to knock another resort off of our list. It was the same price to just switch all 5 nights over to SSR so that's where we are for now. I think the changes are all apart of the FUN!

DH is the same but I tell him it's like a really good buffet but not an AYCE. I can't decide...there are too many choices! It was so easy when I first bought into DVC because DVC was only OKW but now...

I thought I wasnt going to switch this year at all for my trips...but I decided to tack on 2 nights at CR before my Swan stay over Labor Day weekend, and now I see Swan Reserve is the same price as the Dolphin thru Amex with my adjusted dates.

This trip is our first bringing an extra and we are opting for a one bedroom villa to make everyone more comfortable. So far we’ve jumped from 5 nights at Saratoga, to AKL-Jambo standard view, to AKL-Kidani savanna view, to BWV water view. We were at AKL-Jambo in 2023 and LOVED it. Hoping to love the Epcot area resorts just as much.

Well, I actually did change resorts for our upcoming trip - dates too! Turns out I was scheduled for surgery on 5/21 and that bumped up too close to our June dates. We were staying at GF but now we are going in July and staying BWI CL. We are actually pretty excited about that though as BWI is the only (not strictly DVC) resort that we haven't stayed at!

So we did end up staying at Coronado for our entire March trip. I’ve learned that not only am I a resort switcher, but also a split-stayer. We like Coronado a lot, but I got itchy after 6 days. Split-stays from now on, giving even more switching opportunities! I have tentatively blocked out two weeks beginning the last week of February. Not sure what it will be like with the Princess Half-Marathon in the midst of that, but it’s a good time for us to be away. Once the AP discounts come out, the real switching will begin. For now, probably POFQ and if the discounts are good enough, WL for the rest.

Well, this wasn't meant to happen but my resorts have changed mainly due on my part to a failed modification of my DVC BWV reservation a couple of days ago. I ended up losing most of my nights at BWV and could not get them back. This is a first for me so I don't what happened? Now instead of just CCV/BWV and one cash night at BWV, we are at 3 nights in a VGF Resort Studio, 4 nights in BRV 1 BR, and 3 nights at BWV 1 BR standard starting with a one-night cash reservation at BCR. Will this change? Perhaps? If I can only get the missing part of BWV reservation back?

I've changed our upcoming September stay a few times since I last posted. Because of work related timing, we had to change our dates to come in on a Thursday morning instead of Wednesday morning. I wanted a deluxe primarily for the MK deluxe hours. So we decided to just add dining & stay moderate or value.

DH wants to stay at AoA or Pop. I changed it to Pop, then AoA, or vice versa. Right now we're booked for POR. I'm hoping CBR opens up for the discount we have. I've been calling daily without any luck.

Well, I checked dates from Sept 1 thru Sept 12 and found full availability at OKW in a 1 BR and I said "the heck with it" so I cancelled all the reservations we had and booked 11 nights at OKW. The more I thought about it, I just couldn't see myself unpacking, packing, and moving around in the heat. Usually, I'm fine with it but we don't usually go in the summer and this time around I just couldn't do it. Before I did that I approached DH and told him it was available for the same amount of points and we could add in Labor Day so we wouldn't have to spend an extra night with cash. He was wholeheartedly for it. He was very excited which never happens and since it is my home resort it will be nice to stay there again after a long hiatus. We'll also have our own car with us so that will be a bonus. Looking forward to just chillaxing! So I've literally come full circle since OKW was the resort I had 11 months ago and I'm right back where I started from.

I’m cracking up so bad at this phrasing because I’m the exact same way. I get “itchy” too. I gotta switch resorts just to get some enrichment!

We have 3 nights at BWI then 6 at Poly the end of next month. Gonna use switching day to have breakfast at Cake Bake Shop then head to Typhoon Lagoon with the perk. Honestly, the free water park thing is fantastic for chronic split stay enjoyers.

Copper Creek 1 bedroom villa has opened up & we would drop the dining plan more than likely & have breakfast in the room. And stick to one table service meal per day.
BWI Garden Cottage w/ CL this is what we started out w/ but since it's a shorter stay I don't want to lose park time to be back at the lounge for servings. But we are bougie & love CL.

I think if BWI is somewhere you really love, I would stick with it. 1 BR is really nice but it’s hard to beat the convenience of being able to walk to Epcot. I can’t wait to try it in a few weeks!

I figured this was a non judgmental place to post dilemma. Currently booked a one bedroom villa at SSR for 2400 for five nights. Pros close to SSR and lots of space to spread out for me, DH and DD (13) as it will be July and I imagine we will come back to the room to cool down before going out to dinner at DS. Only have two park days with two non park days for DS shopping and eating. Could get POR with Disney plus deal for 950 woods view room with 5th sleeper. Pros great savings cons, loud AC, less space to spread out and having to take crowded boat or longer bus ride to DS. WWYD?
